My 31 business success ingredients

My success goals

Just before I hit the road to return to Calgary, I promised I’d write a post, or perhaps series of posts discussing the goals that I’d personally like to achieve, and if I did feel that I’d have hit the level of success that I’m seeking. Now I know for many of you reading this, you often wonder what type of work another blogger might be putting into his or her blog in order to see the progress, and gains that they happen to be experiencing, or are on their way to experiencing.

Each of us has different sets of skills, and knowledge and while something might be important to one person, it might not be to another. These are my goals, and it’s my hope that you might find some that are common between us, and they might motivate to you also achieve, or even surpass them.

I’ll post the 31 goals I’ve settled on and then dedicate an entire post into the reasons why, and what it is I hope to achieve from having accomplished that particular goal.

31 Success Ingredients for PLR Internet Marketing

1. Guest Posting (Would like to publish 100+ guest posts)

2. Forum Members and Community (Have integrated a forum to build a community of likeminded individuals, and would like to see it rise to 10, or 20 thousand members)

3. Comments (I’ve struggled with comments on my blog, and would love to change that)

4. Quality Blog Posts (Would like to write 100+ link bait type posts)

5. Advertisers (The more advertisers I’m able to attract, the more features I’m able to add for my visitors)

6. Subscribers (Would like to have 50,000+ subscribers)

7. Twitter Followers (Have set my goal at 60,000 followers)

8. Facebook Fans (Also chose 60,000 fans as my target)

9. Internet Marketing Course (Would like to develop a 12 hour in depth marketing course)

10. Affiliate Tracking Software (Attracting affiliates is key, and would like to add it along with the internet marketing video course into my business)

11. Product Reviews (I’ve seen blogs that write nothing but product reviews. I am the opposite, and write mostly content. I still need to pay the bills, so have set a target of writing 100+ product reviews over the course of the next year)

12. Services Pages (would like to have an amazing “Services” section

13. About Page (A killer “About” page will help my blog stand out from the rest)

14. Training Videos (Would love to give even more content to my readers in the form of training videos and have set my goal at 50+)

15. Podcasts (Would like to make all 450 of my blog posts available in podcast format)

16. Podcast channel (Would like to have my podcasts available through Itunes)

17. PLR Aspect or partnership (Despite being named PLR Internet Marketing I’ve yet to integrate a PLR section for my readers, I’ll soon be offering high quality PLR content for bloggers who are getting started, or simply do not have the time to write everything themselves)

18. Alexa Rank (I know it isn’t a true measurement of a blogs traffic, but I still like to see it moving steadily down. I’d like to eventually get down around 20,000)

19. Backlinks (Backlinks are an important metric for all sites, and it’s something I need to focus on more)

20. Page Rank (Like Alexa I know Page Rank isn’t really important in the grand scheme of things, but I’d still like to one day hit a PR 5 or PR 6

21. Delicious Saves (I think these are a good indicator that the quality of my writing is moving forward and upward, and I’d like to see this rise over time)

22. Diggs (See above)

23. 3rd E-book (I have much that I’d like to share, and I have plans for a new book that I’d like to write for my readers)

24. 2000 – 5000 visitors each day (I feel this is a good indication of a popular blog, and hitting these numbers consistently will make me feel I’ve “succeeded!”

25. 52 follow up emails (Building a relationship with your subscribers is important, and I’d like to have more content being sent to them on a consistent basis with me always trying to “sell” to them. I’d much rather give them a ton of value first, and have them think of me second when purchasing a product or service)

26. Stock of Images (I think high quality relevant images add to a blog, and look way more professional than the free ones that are available)

27. 31 spare posts (For those days when I’m away on holidays, or simply have nothing to say)

28. Business credit card paid off (Mine is maxed out at the moment, and having it back at zero would give me some more security)

29. Rank for more keywords (I currently receive traffic for around 4000 different keywords, and would like to write more, on more topics in order to rank for an even larger number which will result in the traffic I need to achieve some of my other goals)

30. Rank higher for those keywords (The higher I rank for those keywords, the more traffic I can expect to receive from the search engines)

31. 1 Employee (Can’t wait for the day when I have someone to help grow my business)

I’ll follow through and write a series of posts covering all 31 of these goals in more detail and depth to give you a better understanding of why I’ve chosen these goals in particular, and just what I hope to achieve once I’ve attained them all.

I’d love to hear your goals, and reasons behind them, so feel free to drop me a line if you’re so inclined, or if you’d like some advice on anything I’m always an email away and almost always up for a good brain storming session!

See you tomorrow when I talk about #1 – Guest Posting
