6 Ways to Make a Living From SEO

SEO

Megan Duckett owns a theatrical-sewing business in California that she named “Sew What?” She wanted to branch out and figured setting up a website would expose her business to new customers nationwide, and hopefully around the globe. Setting up a site, hiring one employee, soliciting past clients and cold-calling new ones did just enough to keep the business afloat; 20% of her sales were to other states, and she conducted two overseas transactions. Then Megan discovered SEO Services.

In 18 months Megan’s revenues skyrocketed 45%. Consequently, her business now employs 33 people in a 15,000-square-foot facility, and there are plans for expansion. One third of her sales are in California, 2/3 in other states, and she’s made 55 international transactions. When interviewed by Businessweek, Megan said, “It’s all been the search engine optimization and some low-budget, pay-per-click ads I’ve placed on certain industry terms…”

How Can I Do That?

1. Keyword Research

Know your competition. Use some free tools like SEOmoz Term Extractor, Open Site Explorer and Alexa Search Analytics to keep tabs on hot keywords in your niche. Take notes on what keywords your competitors rank highly for, which keywords rank poorly for them, and even the mediocre terms.

These tools also help you keep tabs on keywords that are diminishing in use so that you can update your website accordingly. Older websites, i.e., established domains, have more trust than newer websites, so older sites tend to rank higher for those mediocre terms than fresh competitors.

2. On-Page Optimization

Make sure to use keywords in outgoing links, title tags, meta descriptions, H1 and H2 headers, in bold face, and in the ALT text of images. Keep “keyword density” in mind here. Keyword density is the ratio of keywords and key phrases to the total number of words on a page. Blogs benefit from a keyword ratio of 2% to 5%, while the optimum ratio for eCommerce websites is slightly higher at 4% to 8%.

3. Content Like No Other

When writing about the latest product or event in your niche, avoid regurgitating what your competitors have written on the topic. Go into greater depth where possible with facts, stats and graphs or charts. When writing opinion pieces or reviews, do so with more clarity and depth than your competition. In short, valuable content is writing that’s easy to understand, factual (therefore reliable), and straight to the point.

4. Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising

Paying to have your website at the top of the search engines guarantees more traffic, a precursor to potential sales. The PPC model is affiliate-based, and as a merchant you want solid affiliates. The cost per click (CPC) paid to search engines varies based on factors such as which search engine is used, keyword competitiveness, the day and time a visitor is surfing the web, along with visitor interest, intent and location. Google AdWords, Yahoo! Search Marketing, and Microsoft adCenter operate under a complex bid-based model.

5. Linking

Building quality backlinks takes time, but the rewards can be tremendous. The goal is to have websites that rank high in the search engines link back to you. This generates a ton of traffic.

6. Blogging

Run a companion blog to your website that shows customers you are passionate about your niche. Not just passionate about what can be sold, but a fellow enthusiast, be it camping, marketing, martial arts, whatever. Use SEO techniques to get your blog ranked higher so web surfers can share in your enthusiasm for a given niche, and then find your website.

The Difference Between a Long and Short Tail

Search Engine Optimization

Long tail is a big buzzword in marketing these days.  The term “Long Tail” was initially coined in 2004 by Chris Anderson in an article in Wired magazine.  The term was initially used to describe the niche business strategy that is used by companies like Amazon.

Marketers are now using the term to describe the phenomenon that “long tail keywords” could get more traffic combined than the broader, more general keywords.  For example, let’s say the keyword “dog training” gets approximately 2,420 searches per day.

Then you start looking at the long-tail keyword phrases for that niche – dog training collars, dog potty training, dog training careers, and so on. When you add up all of the long-tail keywords, which are easier to dominate in the Google SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages), it equals more traffic than if you simply went after Dog Training.

If you have 10,000,000 websites competing for the term “dog training,” but only 361,000 competing for “dog training DVD,” then you have a far greater chance of reaching the first page than you would if you were competing against 10 million pages.

Being ranked number one for a broad term like “mp3” would probably take a truly exceptional SEO expert many months of very hard work and a very large budget for buying backlinks to accomplish.

Ranking for a term like “1970s rock mp3s” might be much easier – because it’s a long tail.  If the term gets 50 searches per day, and you rank number three, then you might get 20 or 30 hits to your website per day.

If you rank number 30,714 for the term “mp3,” you won’t get any traffic from that at all.  Finding good long tail keywords is very important, because you need those long tail phrases to bring in traffic.

While some marketers shun long-tail keywords, believing they have to rank well for the prime keyword phrases, others are using it to reach a demographic that has money in hand.  Would you rather get traffic from people searching the word “golf” or from someone who types this into Google: “Taylor Made R580XD Titanium Driver?”

The person who gets more specific with their searches is usually someone who’s ready to buy – someone who knows what they want. The person typing in golf may want to know its history for a project, might want to take a golf vacation, or could be interested in attending a local tournament. That won’t do you any good if your site sells golf clubs, but the long tail phrase will cater to that crowd.

Pick your keywords and phrases carefully.  Separate your broad, generic terms from your long-tail phrases so that you can monitor your Google SERP positioning and see how your keyword list is performing for you.

Free Traffic Whiz

Free_Traffic_Whiz

The Free Traffic Whiz course is something I’ve been spending a lot of time on over the last two weeks. There is just so much information inside and so many different methods involved that I just can’t wait to get started implementing the ones I’m not already using, and tweak the one’s I’ve now learnt even more about.

There are so many modules, and so much information contained within this course that you’re sure to come away having learnt not one, or two new things, but a whole repertoire of traffic tricks and tips that will see your blog or website flooded with new visitors in no time.

It’s obvious that Vinay meant to over-deliver and under-price his course in order to make it available to widest possible audience.

The course is made up of five core modules, with the training videos inside and in some there are as many as 18 videos covering a wide range of basic, intermediate, and advanced traffic techniques. Now it’s important to note that all of these methods are free, but for those with more money than time, you can easily outsource many of the tasks involved.

In the Free Traffic Whiz course you’ll learn about the foundation of search engine optimization with keyword research, and choosing the most profitable keywords with the least amount of competition. You’ll learn about natural linking, super linking, and feeder networks, just to name a few of the courses. There is so much that I’d spend the whole week writing about it. Just in the SEO section alone there are 18 video’s walking you through each method in a clear and concise way that anyone can understand.

While this course is well rounded, and full of information it should be pointed out that this is not one of those push button traffic schemes that will show you some magic loophole in Google that leaks traffic on a daily basis. Instead, what you’ll end up with are real techniques that internet marketers and social media consultants are using day in and day out both for themselves, and their clients.

I’ve personally paid hundreds of dollars for comparable courses in recent years, and I have to say at the price it’s selling for here today, I’m glad to have added it to my bookshelf of training courses.

If you’re looking for a way to invest a few dollars in order to start building even more targeted traffic to your blog, or website this is a great way to go. Regardless of what level you’re currently sitting at as far as traffic is concerned, Free Traffic Whiz can help take your site even further.

Launching an E-Business

E-Business; "The Insider's Edge"

Are you still thinking about launching an online business and getting into the internet marketing arena where you can choose to either subsidize your current income, or perhaps replace it entirely?

I’d like to help!

First things first! I’ve written a seventy-nine page e-book that will help guide you through the process from the beginning to the end. Some of the topics covered are:

-          Starting a business

-          Choosing a niche

-          Researching

-          Monetization

-          Developing a business plan

-          Building a website

-          SEO

-          Ad Words

-          Relationship building

-          And much more!

My business model has always been to earn a living while helping others to do the same, so the very first thing I did was to make this book available to absolutely everyone for free so that they too could get started in the highly lucrative world that is internet marketing.

There is a bar at the top of this page, or an opt in box at the side where you can enter your email address and I’ll not only send you a copy of the book for free, but also follow up with you weekly to try and help keep you on track with the lessons in the book. Remember knowledge won’t make you money, it’s the application of that knowledge that will!

There is a lot of hype and promises in the online world, and because of the lure of easy money many are attracted to those offers. The truth (in my humble opinion) is that you have to meet several criteria in order to make an honest and lucrative living online.

Criteria #1: You need to have an idea or concept for just how you intend to make money online. This can be as simple as launching a blog like this one, and monetizing it, or as creative (yet still simple) as launching a social network trading system like Twiends. Many people choose to try out multiple ideas and most likely learn something from each of them.

Criteria #2: You need to do your homework! Research the competition, as well as the market. Locate the hangouts of your potential clients, and visitors you intend to market too. Are you planning to piggyback off of someone else’s traffic, (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) or are you going to drive them to your offer by giving away content? There is much to learn, but knowing what you need to do in order to succeed is half the battle!

Criteria #3: You need to set goals and achieve them constantly. Each goal is a step on the entrepreneur’s journey that brings you closer to the business success you’re most likely searching for. An individual without goals is lost, and unless you are following someone else, are also unlikely to arrive at any destination other than a random one.

Criteria #4: You need to apply consistent effort and promotion toward the goals you’ve chosen as important to your businesses success. There will come a day when you can relax and enjoy the fruits of your labours, but that might not be for a couple of years. The important thing is to not give up. It will come!

I hope you enjoy the book, and please if you have any questions or need any advice I’d be more than happy to give you some direction. Leave a comment anywhere on the site, and I’ll usually respond within 24 hours. Good luck to each and every one of you!

Webmaster Tools

Search Engine Optimization Tools

As a blog or website owner, you have an amazing resource available to you, and despite the powerful nature of this particular tool, it remains free for us to use. Free is good right?

When you first log in, you’ll be given the opportunity to add a site, looking at this image, you can see it right above my sites I’ve already added; here you can easily manage multiple blogs, or websites.

webmaster tools

You should add both versions of your site the www. Version as well as the http:// without the www part. This will allow you to set the canonical settings allowing you to choose which you prefer to use going forward.

To verify your site you can do any one of the following:

1.       Upload an HTML file to your web server.

2.       Add a DNS record to your Domain Configuration

3.       Link to your Google Analytics account

4.       Add a meta tag to your homepage

Of the above options the easiest is either number 1, or number 4, and the whole process should take you just a few moments. (If you need any help, feel free to contact me on Twitter and I’ll be happy to help)

Once you’ve verified that you do in fact own that particular website, Google will start amassing some very valuable information that they will then share with you in the next screen. This process can take a couple of weeks depending on the level of traffic you’re website receives, etc.

Before we jump to the next screen I thought I’d touch base with the one in the image above quickly. If you click the image it will grow larger if you’re having trouble seeing it. Under messages, you can see that I submitted a change of address with Google to let them know that I would be changing the location of my forum to point toward WWW.PLRInternetmarketing.com. Along with this, I also made sure to redirect my old domain to point toward the new domain in such a way that when someone searches for a particular thread, they are then redirected to the same thread, just on the new domain. This helps with both my search engine optimization, as well as to ensure that I don’t lose any of my visitors, while also keeping Google in the loop.

There is also a quick help menu along the left side of the page regarding content you might find on the right side of the page.

Clicking on one of the websites you’ve verified will then bring you to the next screen.

webmaster tools

On this page, you have two columns. On the left side at the top you have the search queries box which will show you exactly which key words or key phrases are being displayed for your website, as well as the resulting clicks that you’re getting from them. It is important to note, that I’ve noticed approximately a two week lag between actual data and what shows up here. If you click the more tab you’ll be able to see all the terms rather than just the top 10 their displayed in this image.

Below that, you’ll deal to see the links to your website or blog and exactly where they’re coming from. Again in order to see all of them. You’ll have to click the more tab.

On the right side at the top, you see any crawl errors that the Googlebot experienced while visiting your website, as well as where they came from.

Next, use you call him title keywords. These are typically the keywords that Google found most often on your website.

Next, you can see the heading for sitemaps; it is highly recommended that you submit a sitemap for your website whenever possible. As you can see here, this one hasn’t had a sitemap submitted; therefore it will have to be something I do manually. Adding a site map is not hard especially if you’re running WordPress; it’s a simple matter of installing the site map plug-in, and then telling Google where to find your site.

Again on the left side, you’ll find your help menu, as well as a more in-depth menu where you’ll discover even more features which I won’t go into in detail, but feel free to poke around and discover them on your own. Most are fairly self-explanatory, and deal with sections you’ve already seen. However, others, such as site performance will go in to things like the speed at which your webpages load.

-          Dashboard

-          Messages

-          Site Configuration

-          —Sitemaps

-          —Crawler Access

-          —Site links

-          —Change of address

-          —Settings

-          Your site on the web

-          —Search queries

-          —Links to your site

-          —Keywords

-          —Internal links

-          —Subscriber stats

-          Diagnostics

-          —Malware

-          —Crawl errors

-          —Crawl stats

-          —Fetch as Googlebot

-          —HTML suggestions

-          Labs

-          —Site performance

-          Video sitemaps

If you aren’t already using Google’s Webmaster Tools, it should be the next thing on your to-do list. This is easily one of the most powerful SEO tools in my toolbox, and is one that should be used often, and tracked constantly. Even if you just login once per day to make sure everything is all right, and there are no errors cropping up that you aren’t yet aware of.

Ideally, you’ll want lots of key phrases directing search traffic toward your website, and the highest number of clicks as possible taking place. You’ll also want as few crawl errors as possible, and I’m sure I don’t have to tell you the value of having a large number of websites pointing toward your own through the use of links coming from various sources.

Last but not least always add you’re sitemap in to let Google know just what to expect from you’re website. If you have a blog with 100 posts, you’ll want to see each of those posts reflected in the sitemap.

Global Marketing Skills

A Global Market

The online world offers us a much wider reach and gives us the ability to market to a global audience, and it lets us do this 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with ease. This process is made smoother if you’re selling a digital product or online services where there are no shipping logistics to worry about.

With this greater reach, and larger marketplace though, comes a new set of skills that must either be learned or outsourced to individuals who already have these skills. Outsourcing can often be a great way to get started, but ultimately if you wish to maintain a high degree of control over your online enterprise, it’s a good idea to either learn the skill yourself, or have an in house staff member take care of it.

Search Engine Optimization

Search engine optimization, or SEO is a required skill that will enable you’re business, and website to be seen by people all around the world when they type in relevant keywords into search bars when they are looking for whatever service or product you provide or sell. Let’s pretend that you write resume’s for people looking for employment. It’s important that when they head over to Google, and type in resume writers that your business comes up, and preferably in the first or second page results, or they might never make it to you.

With this single skill in your internet marketing skills repertoire, you will have the ability to drive thousands of visitors to your  website for free using organic search engine traffic, which is often the best converting traffic because it is generally highly targeted.

Pay per Click Management

Also referred to as PPC, this is the flip side to the previous skill, rather than driving free traffic to your website, this is the art of sending paid traffic to your page.  Being able to maximize your marketing dollars is an important aspect of online marketing, and if you can drive targeted paid traffic to your website for fifteen cents rather than a dollar fifty or more, you’ll certainly be able to accomplish more with the higher volume of traffic you’re able to send.

Social Media Management

In order to manage this global audience it’s important to keep a finger on the pulse of your audience as well as the customers in order to respond to potential conversions (audience members into customers), or even customer service issues that might arise somewhere out on the world wide web. Managing social networks like Twitter and Facebook give you’re global audience a place to visit and find out about upcoming news or events, or perhaps just post a question or two to the rest of the members there to answer. Often times existing customers will be staunch supporters of your brand if they’ve had a memorable customer service result.

Email Marketing

Mastering this skill is critical to your global success, because this might be the only way you will end up reaching certain people in certain geographic locations, because unless you plan to travel 10,000 miles to put up a billboard in their neighborhood you may find it difficult reaching out to them. On the other hand, if you are able to find out where they do spend their time online,  you can target an offer specifically to them, and give it to them in exchange for their email address, allowing you to follow up with similar type offers that  will benefit the.

It’s important to remember that with the rise and reach of internet usage globally, the combined purchasing power of our population is growing at a staggering rate. And because it is still in its infancy, marketing too many of these people requires new methods, and out of the box thinking. A few years ago, nobody was really looking into the mobile market, but now it’s one of the fastest growing markets around.

SEO Education

SEO Book

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a skill that any internet marketer worth his or her salt should have or be developing, because in the long run it will provide him/her with an unending supply of free targeted traffic to any site they choose to build and promote. So where do you go to learn this secret art of SEO, and start the flood of free traffic? The answer might surprise you!

SEO is an ongoing process, and will never be complete because of the nature of the search engines. They constantly change in order that they continue to provide the most relevant results to their users. If a search engine never changed or adapted itself, then eventually people would begin to learn how to manipulate the system, and the top results, or rankings would be the companies, and corporations with the deepest pockets. Come to think about it, that’s pretty much the way it was before Google came along.

There is so much wealth of knowledge and sources of information online regarding Search Engine Optimization, ranging from articles that have been written, Video’s or screen casts recorded, eBooks, you name it! You can watch hundreds of online video’s for free published by Matt Cutts who as many of you know works for Google’s Search Quality Group, and is a respected member of the SEO community, and is all about helping individuals to rank their sites higher in the search engines, while also doing a phenomenal job of fighting link spam.

For this article I’ll discuss the two key types of Knowledge that can be found and they can be broken down into two different categories, paid, and unpaid. As I pointed out there is a ton of information available online for free, and you can build a nice SEO foundation to help you rank your sites higher in the search engines, and enjoy the resulting traffic by simply sifting through all the different resources that can be found online using nothing more than the Google Search  Engine.

Typically when paying for SEO material, you’ll either be paying for technology or information that is brand new or cutting edge, and as such can’t be found online just yet. Also you may be paying for the expertise of certain individuals who because of the level they have attained within the SEO field; it just isn’t feasible for them to give the information away. It comes down to the fact that because they are able to make several hundred dollars an hour using their knowledge to promote their own sites, they typically will charge a hefty price for their time they invest into material they are offering for sale. Due to the high level of knowledge they each possess, they will get their price too!

What skills should you learn? Skills are typically broken down into two groups, on page SEO, and off page SEO.

On Page SEO will include things like optimizing the structure of your posts, using your H tags correctly, optimizing images, ensuring that your site loads fast and has no broken links.  Here are a few on page items to take into consideration for your site.

-          Linking structure – make sure that every page has a link to it from at least one other page so that search engines can spider it.

-          Linking structure is also beneficial when naming pages. Name your pages accurately and avoid using random numbers, or dates.

-          Validate your website to make sure you haven’t got any coding errors, or warnings. I use the W3C Validator at http://validator.w3.org/

-          Load time is a factor; try to ensure your site loads quickly.

-          Use your keywords in your header tags

-          Make proper use of your meta tags

-          Optimize your images so they load quickly and have appropriate alt descriptions

-          Avoid duplicate content on different pages of your site

-          Keyword optimize your posts when you can

-          Submit a sitemap

These are some of the on page factors you’ll want to take into consideration when doing SEO on your own website or blog.

Off page factors are also a necessary aspect to a successful SEO marketing campaign, and should never be overlooked or done haphazardly, because they can cause you more harm than good if done incorrectly.

Off page

-          How many incoming links does your site have

-          How many outgoing

-          What is the authority and Page Rank of the sites linking to you

-          Are the sites relevant to your topic

-          What keywords if any are they using to link to your site

-          Link spamming will hurt your rankings so it’s important to have a solid working knowledge of link building so you don’t end up doing more harm than good.

It’s important to note that if you let the wrong individual perform search engine optimization on your website (and yes, this individual can be you) you can actually end up worsening your situation, or even end up being banned by Google all together. This is not an area to take lightly. Imagine hiring the wrong person to perform SEO on your 5 year old website and ending up banned for life by Google, where would that leave your business and website?

There are many other aspect to SEO and this covers only a handful, but gives you a jumping off point for certain skills you can look to improve in order to become more proficient when optimizing your own websites. SEO education will be more of a continuing education that never really ends, but builds upon itself for some time to come.

A great resource that is put out by an SEO site that is consistently in the top 1000 highest traffic sites on the web is the SEO Book

Creating an Ebook – A Step by Step Process

Writing an Ebook

Electronic information is replacing traditional books and magazines. Thanks to advancing technology, people can now read books on their smart phones, readers or almost any other electronic platform that supports the files. These books are called ebooks. They’re an important part of every e-business. They are used for internet marketing, affiliate marketing, SEO and blogging. They’re used to make money online by people who work from home. People sell e-books and give them away for free. E-books are a very powerful form of advertisement.

Creating an e-book may seem like a daunting task, especially if you’ve never written one before. Perhaps you’re not a writer, so you’re not comfortable with the idea that you can create your own ebook. If you can write a coherent sentence, and you know the basic rules of grammar and spelling, then you can create an e-book. The first step is choosing a topic to write about. It’s preferable to write on something that you already have intimate knowledge of. This will make the process easier for you to handle. If you’re comfortable with the topic, creating an ebook won’t seem so daunting.

Next, determine how long you want your ebook to be. Ebooks run from 5 pages to 32 pages and beyond. Some can even be 250 pages, or 500 pages. Remember, the longer your ebook, the more time you’ll spend on creating it. After you decide the length, pick topics that have to do with the subject of your book. These topics are going to be your chapters. You’ll need to create an outline for each chapter. You don’t have to write the chapters in order, but if you want the book to sync up, it would be a good idea to do so.

Follow up the writing with proofreading. Make sure there are no major grammatical or spelling mistakes. This can detract from the message, and turn people off from buying your products. There are professionals that can help with this process. SEO companies can usually help you if you’re having trouble with any of these steps. Just tell them you’re having trouble creating an ebook. Explain that you have an outline and that you need help with putting ideas together. They can usually take care of the rest. For a fee, they’ll ghostwrite the book for you. Ghostwriting is not unethical. Some people can’t write a book, no matter how much they may want to. That’s why there are people who will do the work for you behind the scenes if you pay them for it.

If you’ve written your own e-book, you’ll need software to officially put it together. Most ebooks come in .pdf files. This is the preferred method of reading electronic information. Occasionally you’ll find other types of files, but consumers and writers alike prefer .pdf. You’ll need a special type of software to save your book as a .pdf file. Adobe has the original software, but sometimes you’ll be able to find other software that will fit into your budget, and can still do the job.

e-Business Ideas

E-Business Ideas

Starting your own e-business might sound easy, what with all the turnkey operations, website building tools, and more, but there is a lot that must go into it if it is going to be successful. Often times, the most difficult part of starting a successful e-business is coming up with the idea. Because of the sheer number of websites already existing, and the thousands upon thousands of new ones being created every day, it can be a daunting task to try and come up with a good e-business idea. Here, we’ll go over the process behind starting an online business of your own, what aspects go into the creative process, and how to get your fledgling business off the ground.

While there are lots of online businesses for virtually every market out there, it is possible to get ahead by putting a new twist on an existing idea, or providing a better product or service in less time for less money. It is not crucial that your e-business idea be completely original, but it is important that there be some way for it to stand out from the sea of other, undoubtedly quite similar ideas floating around it.

When trying to consider possibilities for a new online business, take a look at existing examples of highly successful online businesses. eBay, Amazon, eHarmony, and similar sites all took a relatively simple idea, adapted it for the internet, and turned it into a highly polished and efficient business. Are there any other relatively simple ideas out there that could be commandeered and turned into an online business? What can you offer online that currently cannot be found on the internet, or that you can do better, cheaper, faster? Keeping these things in mind will help you ensure that your business has an edge over the competition.

Another important aspect of making sure your e-business gets off the ground is to use a variety of internet marketing strategies. Many online businesses use techniques such as SEO (search engine optimization), affiliate marketing, and more in order to ensure they get a large amount of traffic, thus increasing their customer base. If you want to get ahead in the online business world, it is going to require a fair investment of time and resources into first making sure you are noticed and taken seriously. By creating a relatively unique and noticeable site you can take your ideas to their natural conclusion as an online business.

Make Money Blogging

Make Money Blogging

If you are looking for a way to work from home that provides you with the chance to make your own hours, exercise your brain, and work with something you enjoy, then blogging is something you should definitely consider. If you like to write, and have a good amount of knowledge about a given subject or even just a great sense of humor or some interesting thoughts, then you can get started with your very own blog. Here, we’ll go over how to make money blogging, as well as how you can maximize the income you get from your blog once it takes off.

Blogs are essentially online journals, and are used by individuals and businesses alike to record thoughts, post ideas, and much, much more. Suppose, for example, that you have an interest in fly fishing. You could write everything from fly fishing experiences you have had, tips on buying particular lures, great spots to fish, how to clean and cook certain fish, and so on. You can place advertisements or even sponsored links to products on your blog, using it as a source of income.

The great thing about online blogs is that as you write and create content for the blog, people will naturally find your blog through search engines and others who may have linked to it. This will increase the number of readers your blog has, and many of these readers will in turn create links to your blog. Part of your search engine ranking (how early your blog appears in search engine results) relies on the number of incoming links, so as more people read and link to you, the more people will find you, even if they aren’t following these links. This exponential growth allows some blogs to really take off, providing the means for a significant source of income.

In fact, many people take advantage of online advertising and marketing techniques in order to support themselves entirely by blogging. You can make money blogging in a number of different ways, but the best way to get the most bang for your buck (or buck for your blog) is to optimize your site. SEO (search engine optimization) is a method by which you can dramatically increase the number of readers coming to your site, thus increasing the amount of money you make from advertisements, or the number of readers who visit sponsored product links.
