Set Up a Facebook Fan Page for Your Customers and Prospects to Gather

fan page
A Facebook fan page is like having a Facebook profile dedicated to your business. While you could make a profile for your business, Facebook will likely flag it and remove the profile, leaving your customers and prospects without a way to connect with your brand on Facebook.

Instead of a profile, you want a fan page for your business. Fan pages are a way for your customers and prospects to identify with you and associate who you are with your brand as well as share the page with others.

Take a moment and define the purpose of your fan page. If you define the purpose of your page as only to sell more, then you need to take a step back. While social media does help businesses promote their brands and sell more products, consumers can always tell when that’s the only reason a brand is online.

Like all forms of social media, your potential ‘fans’ are looking at your page and asking themselves one question, “What’s in it for me?” What you have to figure out is how to best give something back to your Facebook fans. Some fan pages provide coupons, resources or helpful tips. Knowing what you’ll provide your clients in advance will help guide you as you create the page.

Once you’ve determined the purpose of your fan page, it’s time to build it. You can start building your fan page by signing in to your Facebook account. You want to sign in with the one that will be associated with your fan page. After you’ve signed in, visit: http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php.

Choose your brand name carefully to appeal to your target audience. For instance the company Victoria’s Secret didn’t create a fan page for their brand. They created one for their new line Victoria’s Secret PINK. By doing this, they targeted the audience most likely to purchase their products (college age females).

Now that you’ve chosen your page name and category, make sure you upload a high resolution photo of your logo or one of your most popular products. The goal here is to choose an image that will instantly spark brand recognition in a consumer’s mind.

Next, add some text to the information tab. Hint: you can use text from your about page or any other page on your website. You can even include testimonials for your business. You can import your company blog to the notes section using RSS feeds.

This means new blog posts are automatically posted on your page’s wall. If you want to create a custom landing page, then try Static FBML. Use the search bar to find it and on the left hand side, click ‘Add to My Page.’

This will add an application to your page that allows you to post raw HTML code and have it display correctly to your fans. After your page is set up, make sure you update it two to four times a week so your fan base will continue to grow.

Success Series Goal – Fans

fans

Just like the followers on Twitter another aspect to my social media marketing campaign is to have a large fan base on Facebook. To date Twitter has been my stronger performer and is also my third largest source of traffic to my blog.

Having a large fan page can mean not only more traffic, but more revenue as well when a product is added into the mix. Just like an email list where you can send out a special promotion or offer for your latest product, so too can you post on your fan page wall, and send out an update to the thousands of people who have “liked” your page.

I originally set my sights on 20,000 fans or so because I saw that Darren over at Problogger had just over 20,000 and it seemed like a big number at the time. I’ve gone back and adjusted it to match my twitter goal of 58,000 just because I felt it was something I could achieve and like most I’m a big believer in more is better. (Even when it isn’t always the case)

Growing a fan page is similar to a twitter profile, you need to make it easy for people to not only find you, but also offer them a reason to “like” you. Here are a few of methods you can use to grow your own fan page.

-          First off, set a goal that you’d like to achieve as far as fans and growth are concerned. Goals can act as great motivators, and also help to keep our attentions focused on topics we’ve set as important to our businesses.

-          Customize your profile; use high quality graphics, and landing pages. Offer your fans something they can’t get on other pages so that they are more inclined to not only become fans, but also interact with you which will help to drive even more “likes” to your page from other potential fans.

-          Set a custom vanity URL as soon as you hit the 25 fan requirement, it makes you more easily findable, and lends itself to a more professional and branded image.Include a Facebook widget on your blog or website to make it easier for people to “like” your page. Include a request for them to join you there.

fan page

-          Link your blog and twitter account to your fan page so that it’s updated with all your tweets and blog posts which will result in more traffic being sent to other areas of your business that are also important in your growth.

-          Use Twiends to advertise your fan page on, it’s a great tool that can be used either free or paid depending on your circumstances and whether you have more time than money, or more money than time.

-          Facebook ads are a great way to get some tremendous growth to your page, and when done correctly can be managed for less than .50 cents a fan.

-          Google ads are also a great way for driving fan growth but while you can get traffic for around .12 – .20 cents if you know what you’re doing the percentage of people who click vs. the percentage of people who join is much lower than with Facebook ads.

-          Make it easy for people who are on your email list to connect with you on all your social networks.

-          Include your Facebook in your email signature file so that people receiving emails from you on a regular basis can easily find your fan page, and support you by “liking” it.

-          Ask your current Facebook friends. I’d suggest only using this once as it can get annoying to constantly be bombarded by page requests from people.

-          Use contests to build awareness around your fan page, and offer up prizes once in a while. It’s not only a great way to drive fan growth, but is also a great way to reward your existing fans also.

-          When commenting on other fan pages, do so as your page rather than as your personal account. If you’re not sure how, simply login to your fan page, and in the top right corner you’ll see the option to use Facebook as either yourself, or your page. Remember! Always post responsibly on other people’s walls, and don’t spam them with the sole intention of trying to attract their fans to your page.

Depending on how serious you are about growing a following on Facebook you can use as many methods as you’d like to promote your page. Obviously the more places you can be found online the better. If you haven’t already “liked” my fan page, please consider doing so now. Also if you’d like to promote your own fan page, website or offer then I have a special arrangement with my “Top commentators” allowing them to post freely on my wall. Simply be a regular commenter on my blog and as a way of saying thank you, you’re entitled to leave comments and links on my fan page witch currently has around 32,000 fans.

10 Awesome Tips to help you grow your Fan Page

PLR Internet Marketing Fanpage

If you own a business (and I do consider a blog a business) then you most likely have either heard about the benefits of owning a fan page and using it to drive traffic to your blog, attract opt ins, interact with likeminded people, and so much more. Or you are looking into it as a future investment for your blog or small business. As someone with well over 20,000 Facebook fans I thought I’d share the various methods I’ve used in the last 8 months or so that I’ve had it, in the hopes of helping others to grow their own.

For the record, Facebook is the second highest traffic website with 135 million unique visitors each month, if you are able to siphon off even a small portion of that to your blog I’m sure you’d be happy as traffic is truly the lifeblood of a blog, and without it things can be very lonely indeed.

Here are the various methods I’ve personally used to grow my page to almost 22,000 fans in just a few short months.

1.       I added the Facebook widget right into the center of my blog, where people could see that a. I had a fan page, and b. people before them had liked the page. There is something to be said for social proof, nobody likes to be the first person to join a page that has no other members, and c. they could like my fan page directly from my website.

2.       I incorporated my 3 major points of contact into all my correspondence in the signature section of my emails. Now whenever I send an email out there is my website, Twitter account, and Fan page listed at the bottom where curious people can click over and check things out, and hopefully add themselves to my network.

3.       I write blog posts occasionally with blatant links to my fan page knowing that a few people will read the post, find value and add themselves to my network. www.facebook.com/plrinternetmarketing (hint, hint, nudge, nudge…) lol

4.       I recently ran a contest where I gave away copies of the Facebook Marketing Uncovered course from www.fbmarketinguncovered.com which had a $47.00 value for the winners. I’m still willing to give away one to anyone who can help spread the word about my fan page and help me grow my followers. I set out to pass the Problogger fan page which was 2000 fans above me just a few days ago, and is now only about 1200 fans above us. (Turns out he’s growing quite a bit daily too, who knew?)

5.       This one is actually huge, and resulted in quite a few fans joining my page. I used the free service from Social oomph and set up a direct message that said hello, and pointed my new followers to my fan page. As you can imagine I’m also actively growing my Twitter community so at over 22,000 followers I’ve sent out quite a few DM’s inviting people to join me. It’s important to note that I don’t keep it at one message but rotate it as my needs change. I might point them to my fan page one month, and my free e-book offer the next. This is one tip I’d implement if I were you!

6.       Another hidden gem that I’d highly recommend you take advantage of is Twiends. This is a social growing community that connects Twitter users, Facebook pages, and YouTube enthusiasts. You used to be able to use them to drive traffic to your blog or website also, but they’ve been slapped by Google recently and taken the feature offline until further notice. This one is powerful, so head over, tell them I sent you, and start using them to add fans and followers to your social network!

7.       Try finding fan pages that are in your niche, and liking them, mention to the owner that you too are working hard at growing a fan page community, and ask if they’d reciprocate. Most will, but don’t be upset if they don’t. Often they just might be busy with building a business and not have time to respond to every request made of them.

8.       This one I haven’t used myself, but have “liked” other pages because of it and have to say it was powerful from a consumer point of view. Pages that create videos and post them on the page with the intention of helping people toward furthering a goal. The page that comes to mind is Get 10,000 fans that ironically has close to 25,000 at the time of this writing. I was trying to reach 6,000 fans when I first found them and they inspired me to aim for… yep, you guessed it. 10,000 fans. I’ve been chasing them ever since, but they grow at almost exactly the same speed I do, so are always just out of my reach. I figure I’ll either catch up to them or hit a million fans in about four years!

9.       Make sure you interact with the current members of your page, and post quality information for them daily. Also develop a set of rules for members who wish to post links on your wall. There are unfortunately millions of spammers who target large fan pages with no other goal but to spam the internet with links to their crappy offers or affiliate pages. I personally remove the links within minutes usually, and ban the user that spammed it in the first place.

10.   If you have an email list of subscribers that you’ve built up via your blog them make a point of asking them to also head over and like your fan page. Perhaps you can even find some way of rewarding the ones that do as a way of saying thank you. These people are already fans of your blog so it usually isn’t too hard to convince them to also “like” your fan page as a way of showing their support.

A friend of mine Mark Harai wrote on his blog yesterday that what makes a blog awesome is the community you build around it, and that is so very true. What’s the point of writing great content day in and day out if there is no one there to appreciate it?

Using your Competition to further your own goals

competing on Facebook

Today I thought I’d share a little trick that I use to secretly use my competition to further my own goals (in a good way of course). It is by utilizing this method that I’m able to see continued growth here at PLR Internet Marketing, and that I’ll continue to see it for years to come.

First of all, I’m assuming that you already have your own list of goals and targets that you’d like to reach with your blog, or business and you’ve written them down, and have them clearly in mind. Also you’ve no doubt made sure that the daily tasks that fill your day are ones that will bring you ever closer to those very goals.

Here’s where the competition comes in and helps you. I’m sure you have a list of blogs and websites that you frequent regularly and some of these people have likely been online much longer than you have. In my case that was pretty much everyone as I only just passed my one year anniversary this month. Pick one of the bloggers you admire and who happens to be ahead of you in regards to one of the goals you’ve set for yourself. Try not to go for the king of the hill right off the bat, but work your way up gradually.

For example I’m currently using Darren Rowse over at www.problogger .net to motivate me to grow my Facebook fan page to not only catch up to his impressive 22,807 fans, but hopefully to even pass him and move on to the next big page which for me will be Wikipedia’s Internet Marketing Fan page which has 24,872 fans on it currently.

By continually finding people and pages who are succeeding at aspects of business that are also important to me, I’m able to keep that motivation and drive fresh and alive within me. It forces me to learn ever more about the methods used to increase or further those particular goals. Not only does that new found education serve me well allowing me to drive my own business further, but it then gives me new information and knowledge that I can then share with my own readers, and followers allowing me the opportunity to help them with their businesses.

Competition is healthy when utilized properly, and I’m the first person to admit that I would never have made many of the goals I’ve made without mine. It’s from the knowledge that I’ve gained from these other bloggers and internet marketers that has allowed me the opportunity to further my business the way that I have. You see my competition isn’t really my competition, but more like my allies!

Beneficial Banners

advertising

Advertising on your blog can be a lucrative income stream when developed properly, and once you’ve established a certain amount of traffic you can choose to sell advertising to marketers and small businesses, or promote your own affiliate products that you feel tie in nicely with the theme of your blog.

Now a big concern with bloggers and the visitors who frequent those blogs is the quantity of banners that end up flashing away on your pages. There are a majority who feel you should write day in and day out providing them with valuable content that furthers their education, but if you add in banners, or advertising and try and make any money then you’ve gone over to the dark side of blogging and shouldn’t be trusted.

Personally I disagree with the concept and feel that a blog owner should not only be paid for his time, but that advertising when done right is just one more service for the visitor. Let’s use my blog as an example here. I have a total of fourteen advertising spots throughout my blog, and if you take a look at those 14 spots you’ll find that no less than seven reflect programs or services that I use on a daily basis and would  attribute a large part of my success to.

The seven I’m talking about are:

1.       Tweet Attacks – I use this program daily, and have for over a year now to manage my Twitter account and maximize the traffic I can pull from Twitter. This one program is responsible for between 500 and 1000 of my monthly visitors, and as such indispensible to me.

2.       Hostgator – As my website and traffic have grown I’ve gone from a shared hosting account to a reseller and into a VPS (virtual Private Server) in order to ensure the site is up when you guys show up for a visit. Reliable hosting is worth its weight in gold, and can mean the difference between lost sales and reputation, or stability and reliability.

3.       Aweber – Now I’ve written plenty on the value of having your own list, and this is another service I feel every marketer, and small business should have. Your list is not only a source of income, but also a source of traffic.

4.       Market SamuraiKeyword research is crucial to the success of a blog, and unless you enjoy paying for traffic one you should probably learn. I recently met an internet marketer who did nothing but pay for traffic to his site which was receiving anywhere from 100 to 250 visitors a day and costing him between $200.00 a month and $500.00 a month. Thanks to keyword research my blog receives between 1000 and 2000 visitors a day, and cost me the price of the software once, and the time to learn and implement some search engine optimization tweaks.

5.       IBP or Internet Business Promoter is another SEO tool that I personally used to get my site ranked for one of the hardest keywords out there “Internet Marketing” earning myself a page one listing that drives visitors to my site each and every day.

6.       Twiends – This is a service that helps you grow you’re social network and since many of you are trying to grow either a Fan page, or Twitter account this is the service that can help. If you’ve ever started a Fan page and struggled to get those first 25 fans in order to set the vanity URL, you’ll be able to appreciate a free (or paid) service that allows you to get 25 fans with little trouble whatsoever.

7.       The Secret Classroom – Now I don’t use this one daily but I do go back often enough, and I have to say that after buying the course for $50 and watching just one of the 12 speakers for almost 2 hours I already felt I’d gotten more than my money’s worth. My hats off To Joel Comm for putting this one together, I know it taught me a lot!

The rest of the spots are either my own courses or programs or others that I use and appreciate and that have taught me some of the skills that I then use to my advantage. The internet is filled with hype and overpriced programs and services that fail to deliver. Having the recommendation for one’s that actually work and provide value definitely falls into the “beneficial to the reader” category!

So next time you visit a blog and complain about the banners take a minute to consider if perhaps those products or services could possibly be an asset that could help take your own blog to the next level.

Fan Page Tweak

Fan Page

I know a lot of you are working hard at building your social network, and have by now implemented a Facebook Fan page in order to take advantage of the traffic and branding that can come from it.

Today I thought I’d share a quick tip to help you get the most out of your wall space limited though it might seem at times.

At the top of the page are five thumbnail images that reflect the last five images uploaded to your wall. By creating your own images in your favourite photo editing software you can use them to send additional messages.

If you take a look at my wall http://www.facebook.com/plrinternetmarketing You’ll see that I created 5 simple images to point people in the right direction.

-          The Blog (the description is the URL to this site)

-          The Forum (points to the membership area of PLR)

-          The Book (shows them where they can download my e-book)

-          The Traffic (points to my blog traffic tactics e-book)

-          The Rules (this points to the rules for posting on my wall)

Now I’m the first to admit I’m severely lacking in artistic ability, and I’m sure you will be able to make much nicer images, but if you just wanted to use text and colors like I did you can have them made and up in about 30 minutes.

Image sizes are 125×75 pixels (width/height) and the font size I used was 18

One thing I will point out before you go getting too creative and make a side running image that carries over from one image to the next is that the images rotate positions when the page is refreshed so you can’t be assured of the positioning, but despite that it still hold value in that the location is at the top of the page, and as such “prime” real estate!

If you enjoyed this tutorial, leave a comment and I’ll be sure to add some more like it! Good luck!

Leave your Comments (Please)

Blog Comments

One of the areas of my blog and business that I’m trying to focus on this year, is the comments section below each post. In the beginning months of this blogs life I had turned them off, to avoid dealing with spammers and such, and it wasn’t till a few months later that I realized I was missing out on a great way to connect with my readers which is important to me.

Now the growth of the blog’s Twitter account, Facebook page, and Traffic are all rocking upward, comments are still something of a struggle for me to get.

I’ve come up with a few incentives to hopefully attract more of you to leave comments, and thought I’d share them.

Reasons you should comment on my blog!

1.       It’s a great way to say “thanks” for providing all this great free content for us, day in and day out!

2.       It’s an avenue of communication and a way for you to ask questions of me, or other readers, or just leave feedback which could shape the future of the blog.

3.       I’ve installed the “Top Commentators” plugin which tracks the top 5 commentators and rewards them with a do-follow link in the sidebar. (I charge $20.00 a month for the featured links, so a great value for you)

4.       Whoever is listed on the Top Commentators can also post links on my Fan page wall (which has close to 10,000 fans and continues to grow)

Now at the moment all that you’d have to do to get these benefits would be to leave two or three relevant comments on one of the hundreds of posts that I have online, since the top person has three comments, and the other four have two each. (hopefully with your help that will grow!)

To make it easy to find out if someone has replied to something you’ve said on one of the posts, you can click the checkbox that says “Notify me of follow up comments by email”, don’t worry it’s only used to send reminders when someone else leaves a comment on that particular post, and should I start getting hundreds of comments you can easily unsubscribe from it as well lol!

Thanks to all of you for stopping by, and especially to those who leave some comments going forward!

Warren

Fan Page Contest

At the beginning of the year I was sitting at about 5,500 fans on Facebook with my fan page www.facebook.com/plrinternetmarketing and had set my goal of reaching 6,000 by the end of January. Now that is a growth of about 16 fans a day, and I thought that was reasonable. But then I was surfing around and came across a website http://get10000fans.com it kind of got my competitive nature going, I thought “hey, if these guys are sitting at 10,000+ why the hell shouldn’t I be”? And so it began! My quest to hit 10,000 fans by the end of January!

All of a sudden my growth of 16 a day, we pushed to 145 a day, and considering the fact that I didn’t decide until January, 15th that number is closer to 282 a day which is no easy task. So I started brainstorming different ways that I could promote my fan page and encourage massive growth in such a short time. So I’m implementing the different ideas I’ve come up with, as well as reading what others have to say on the matter, and implementing them over the course of the last two weeks of January to see if I can not only hit the 10,000 mark, but blow it out of the water all together!

I started off by suggesting my page to 1300 friends that I have on my personal page in the hopes that some would join. This method actually didn’t work out as well as I’d hoped. I started out having 160 friends who had previously liked my page, and ended up with only 4 new additions to the page.

Next, I used the power of my Twitter account which has over 20,000 followers, and saw some decent growth, somewhere in the neighborhood of 700 so far, and I’m sure that number is still growing as I’ve scheduled tweets and DM’s to go out for the last two weeks of January.

Next I took advantage of a great resource that allowed me to grow by over 1000 fans in just a week’s time, which gave me my first glimmer of realization that I just might have a shot at hitting this new goal of mine. Check it out if you could use fans, followers, visits, or views! www.plrinternetmarketing.com/twiends

Now as I’m closing in on the 10,000 mark, and rather than lose all this momentum I’ve gained I thought I’d hold a contest to see how creative my readers can be, and to reward those who are able to help out. For everyone who is willing to suggest my fan page to their friends, followers, reader, or email list, I’m going to hold a contest. The prize is a free video course courtesy of www.fbmarketinguncovered.com it’s a Clickbank course that sells for $47.00 Since we are doing a Facebook contest, for a Facebook fan page, I thought it only fitting that we go with a Facebook Marketing course as the prize.

It’s open to any and all, and if you would like to use other methods of promotion that is also welcome, just drop me a note letting me know who you are, and what you did to promote the fan page, and I’ll put your name into the draw. For every twenty people who enter I will give away one prize, so your chances of winning are one in twenty. For anyone that is able to deliver a guaranteed 1000 fans, they will be considered an instant winner! But please, with that said; only ethical methods of promotions are of interest to me, as I like to encourage ethical internet marketing practices, and won’t reward the other kind.

To email me with your name and promotional method you can email me at contact @ PLRInternetmarketing.com

I look forward to hearing from you all.

Update: It is unclear if Facebook is taking out the “suggest to friends” feature at this time, so to enter a blog post about the contest will also suffice.

Thanks Team

Warren

Timing your Blog Posts

open for business

Some of you have chosen to post to your blogs weekly, others every few days, and still others on a daily basis, but did you ever stop to consider the time that you release your post to go live?

If you take the time to monitor your analytics program then you will notice that there are certain days that receive more traffic than others, and also certain times during the day. If you can publish your posts at the optimal time, or on the optimal day, then you can increase the effectiveness of your blog.

For one thing your bounce rate will start to lower because if someone logs on to read your post for the day, but it isn’t there yet then they are much more likely to click out to another site, or log off all together. By having your post up when they show up, you will keep that persons attention where it should be, on your blog.

Another positive that your blog will experience is a higher return on your social media investment. If a hundred people show up during that optimal time, and there isn’t anything for them to see, they just wander off, but if one hundred people show up and there is a nice juicy post for them to read and enjoy, then they will also be sharing that post with their circle of friends via social media tools like Twitter and Facebook which will in turn drive even more visitors to the post which could result in even more retweets, etc.

Humans have a built in clock as you all know, and we also are creatures of habit, by posting your article at the same time of day, or the same day of the week then your readers will come to rely on that from you, and will be rewarded by showing up at that time with a post. However if you’re all over the map with post times, then they might just be disappointed to find nothing when they show up, which though being subtle will still be a letdown.

If you think of your blog as a business, then think of publishing your post as opening the doors for the day to traffic.

Treating your blog like a business is an important aspect for each of us, and it’s important that we start each day ready for business, publish your post, and do a quick walkthrough of your website to ensure everything is working as it should be. You might think that just because everything was working yesterday, everything would be working properly today, but that just isn’t the case. Hosting companies have issues, there are hackers out there, or it could just be a simple case of a plugin failing on you.
Do a quick run through to ensure you are running smoothly.

After you’ve posted, and done your walk through check on your email accounts, follow up with your social media outlets whether that be responding to people on your Facebook Fan page, or replying to twitter fans out there, simply put, just take care of business!

Building Your Opt In list

Building your optin listIn this internet marketing age, one of the most important assets your website or business can have is a targeted list of email subscribers, a list of people that are interested in your particular niche or topic of interest.

The average subscriber is worth approximately $12.00 per year to the list owner. Now $12.00 may not seem like a whole lot of money, but when you start building your list generating just 10 new subscribers per day means 3650 subscribers a year. Now if you do the math, what this means is about $43,800 each and every year. Not bad, considering for many website/business owners this isn’t even their primary source of income. The great thing about this is 10 is a very realistic number, and easily achievable…let me share a few tips to get you started.

1. the most obvious, yet often overlooked is having the opt in form in the first place, if you don’t have anywhere for me to sign up, how can I? I recommend locating the opt in form somewhere above the fold, and easily seen. For PLR Internet Marketing I’ve chosen the top right hand corner, now I could easily have placed my absence code here, but is my adsense going to generate $43,800 for me each year? Probably not. If you notice our Opt in form can be seen on each and every one of the pages on PLR Internet Marketing.

2. Don’t just have the opt in form; offer your readers something of value, this does two things, 1. It gives your readers something of value, which helps build trust. I spent 3 months writing and editing E-Business; “The Insider’s Edge” and could easily have continued to sell it at $19.99, but instead decided to offer it to my readers for free in order to provide them with value, and also build trust with my readers. 2. There is something powerful in business called “The Law of Reciprocity”, now what this means is that when you do something for someone else, they feel a compelling urge to reciprocate. Now as we’ve established both trust, and given something of value to the reader, if they are in the market for a service or product you are offering or recommending, they will now be much more inclined to purchase it from you rather than some stranger, or website they have no previous relationship with.

3. Design a professional squeeze page or sales page with your offer and then drive traffic to that page. If you go to http://www.plrinternetmarketing.com/e-business/ you will see the squeeze page I had designed to offer my eBook to people. This page is a great way to convert new traffic sources into both customers, and readers for many years to come.

4. Add a lightbox hover. This is the opt in box that fades into the page promoting your offer. You can set it up to show every time (I don’t recommend), you can have it show up once per visitor as I have done, (note will also show up again if cookies are cleared), or you can set the duration…e.g. every 30 days. My conversions increased by 30% after I added this.

5. Do you have a Twitter account? Have your offer sent in a direct message to new followers. I receive anywhere from 30 to 100 new followers each day. Twitter accounts for a whopping 50% of all my subscribers. You can use a free site like Social oomph to automatically send your new followers to your squeeze page offer, again…the better the offer, the higher your conversions will be.

6. Does your website or business have a Facebook fan page? If so, make sure you’re capturing leads there as well. Setup an opt in form as your landing tab, so that your new fans have the opportunity to sign up for your offer or gift directly from there. I’ve recently started an Internet Marketing fan page, that has quickly grown to 3000 fans, each of whom had the opportunity to sign up for my free eBook.

7. Run promotional ads for your eBook, ecourse, giveaway, etc. Google’s Adwords, Facebook Ads, etc. are a great way to drive traffic to your your offer. If you set the value of each subscriber at $1.00 per month, then you know that if you can acquire each new lead at or around this figure your already ahead. I know that if I pay $1.00 for a lead, that I can recoup that cost in as little as a month, with each successive month being pure profit. It’s important to know the value of your subscribers so that you can calculate at what point you’re still profitable.

These are just a few tips to help you build your own opt in list up to a profitable level. Remember, your list if used properly will easily be your most profitable asset. If I lost every other aspect of my business tomorrow, but still had my list, I could still make money each and every month!
