Are you subscribed to the Competition?

Spying on the copetition

I’m not sure which business you happen to be in, but I’ll assume it has something to do with internet marketing, affiliate marketing, or perhaps blogging. Either way I’m sure you have some competition and that they happen to be online as well. Are you keeping an eye on them? Are you subscribing to their newsletters and opt in lists? Are you reading their e-books, blog posts, and other online materials?  Well if you aren’t, you should be.

Imagine having a team of professionals working for you day and night doing market research, tweaking sales copy, email copy, and then publishing the findings for you to review at your leisure and then integrate the ones that strike a chord with you. You aren’t the only one working hard to build your business, and if you aren’t taking advantage of the findings your competitors are digging up, then you are missing out in a big way.

Because we are all unique individuals with different make ups, different strengths, and core values, we each head into different areas to further our businesses. The introverted businessman might go further utilizing the software method, and because he is so much more comfortable than you being by himself, he has mastered which tools will further his business utilizing the different software tools that are available to us.

The social butterfly who needs to be surrounded by other people will likely be the first to discover the best social networking tools to use for his or her business; they’ve also discovered how to maximize their Twitter accounts, and Fan pages to help drive traffic and sales to the highest level possible. You should be keeping a close eye on these people as they can help you to take your own business to levels you couldn’t achieve on your own, or at least quite so quickly.

I have a list of about 30 internet marketers, and bloggers who I keep a close eye on, I know which ones are falling behind in certain areas, and others who are excelling beyond belief at others. Obviously I listen closely to the topics they cover that show where there success in those areas are coming from. This helps point out flaws in my own business model that I can then quickly change or restructure in order to not get left behind with my own marketing efforts.

I have no doubt that you can make your business into a successful enterprise, but wouldn’t it be great if you could turn your weaknesses into strengths simply by paying attention to those other marketers who are experts in those fields you either struggle with, or simply have little interest in learning?

So here is what I’d recommend:

1.       Spend a day scouring the net for individuals who are doing what you are doing and then read a couple of posts, bookmark the site so you can keep abreast of what their writing, perhaps subscribe to their RSS feed.

2.       Subscribe or opt in so you can see how often they mail out, and what they mail out, this will serve two purposes, you can see what content offends you (so you can avoid sending out similar type content) and items you find valuable.

3.       If they offer products that you offer or are at some point going to offer, you might want to consider purchasing them to see how they put them together, you can then evaluate a finished product and incorporate the winning aspects, and avoid the negatives when you create your own.

I want you to consider for a moment how hard you are working your own business, and then think about others who are spending just as much time developing their own similar businesses out there. By collaborating online either passively (just keeping an eye on them), or actively (joining a Forum or community where you can brainstorm together and share which ideas are working, and which aren’t) you’ll be able to experience a higher level of growth for your business.

The resources available to you today are greater than at any other time in history, it is up to you to avail yourself to them, and make use of them.

If you are interested in collaborating with other bloggers, and marketers online, I’ve created an online forum where you can register for free and join in the discussion, ask question, find joint venture partners, etc. If you have questions, you can ask them and someone knowledgeable in that field will answer, or if you have answers for someone else, please feel free to contribute.

There are two areas to the forum, a free section as well as an “Elite” section that we’ve made super affordable at $6.00 a month, or $49.00 for the year. If you are investing in your business education this would be $6.00 well spent.

*Note: There is a credit system going live that will allow you to earn credits for posting content, you can then in turn use those credits to purchase a membership so you can save yourself some money.

Building a community around your business

Building a community

As an Internet marketer it’s important that you work at building a community of people around both you and your website in order to be successful. Attracting people who are interested in the topic you cover, as well as your particular style of writing is a crucial step to building your network.

There are many ways that you can go about building this community, and in today’s day and age with the advent of technology, tools, and resources, it is even easier than ever. What took companies several years before can now be done in several months.

When building your community it is important to focus on relationships rather than numbers. While having a huge number of followers, fans, or even subscribers, can be a great boost to the ego, and will certainly lend itself to the social proof aspect of your business, at the end of the day it is the relationships that you build with your community and its individual members that will determine whether or not you are successful.

The best way to build a relationship with your community is to interact with them. Set aside a certain amount of time each and every day to update your community with information and updates related to the topics that you cover. Also, ensure that you are responding to questions, comments, and feedback from your members in a timely manner in order to engage them while they’re still interested.

Some methods that you can use to build your online community include blogs, forums, social networks, and e-mail marketing. Let’s discuss each one individually.

The articles themselves are a great place for you to get a message across; it’s where you get to showcase your knowledge, and communication skills, as well as the fact that you’re willing to impart this knowledge to them for free. In order to stand out from the hundreds of thousands of blogs that are online, you should write in-depth full-length articles that answer questions your potential readers might have.

Blogs

Your blog is the the first point of contact between yourself and potential leads, or clients, therefore it’s important to present yourself as professional, as well as knowledgeable. You only get one chance to make a first impression. Your blog offers a couple of points with which to interact with community members, most notably the comments section below each post. Typically the sooner you respond to comments left on your blog, the more likely you are to receive feedback on that comment either from the person who originally left it, or perhaps someone new was also reading the article and comments.

It is also important to make sure your contact information is readily available to those who go looking for it.

Typically when someone visits a website they are anonymous, and after they leave that website the site owner has no way to reach out and contact them, therefore it’s extremely important that you capture their information as soon as possible.

The common practice among blog owners is to offer their readers something of value in exchange for their e-mail address, e-books, e-courses, and other information packages typically do quite well. A well-designed set up will be able to convert approximately 10% of the visitors each day.

Forums

No matter what niche you happen to be in, there’s most likely an online forum where people get together and discuss ideas and concepts related to that topic. This is a great opportunity for you to meet like-minded individuals as well as people who are interested in your topic and who could very well be interested in what you have to say. Most forums allow a signature file that displays at the bottom of each post you make, include a quick sentence about your site or blog, as well as the address to get there. If you get into the habit of posting informative posts, and contributing both to the forum, and therefor to its members, people will soon start to notice and start to look to you as an expert, from there; it shouldn’t be too hard to convert them into first readers of your own blog, and later on possibly even clients, or customers.

Social Networks

Social networks are another great place you can focus your attention in order to build your online community of both potential clients as well as peers. It is important to note however, that your time spent on these sites should be allocated to developing your business rather than chatting with old friends. There are many who build their entire list of leads from social media sites like Facebook or twitter, and who do quite well at it.

E-mail marketing

Now that your website is set up properly, tweaked and tuned to convert 10% of your visitors into subscribers it’s important to start building a relationship with them. Make sure that you connect with them on a regular basis, now that isn’t to say that it has to be done manually. Typically most Internet marketers will set up a follow-up sequence of e-mails to go out at predetermined intervals after each subscriber signs up. We call this the sales funnel process, and this is where we turn our leads into our customers.

By knowing the end result you wish your customers to take, it’s a simple matter to set up a series of e-mails leading up to that step, for example; if you’re offering a course on how to make money blogging, your series of e-mail’s would outline of the steps needed for them to set up and start running their own blog. By helping them, and making their life easier showing them quick tips, tricks, and methods for making this whole process run more smoothly, you’ll be leading them down the path that leads directly to your door.

It’s important to note that rather than try to sell those people it is always more effective to simply suggest sell to them. If they’ve followed you this far, they obviously see you as an expert in your niche, and they won’t think twice about taking your advice on which hosting company to go with or other similar areas of the business.

Another thing you gain by helping them rather than trying to sell to them the entire time is that by giving them time and resources of yours, you’ll be building reciprocity into the equation. It is human nature that when someone gives us something, we feel like we should give something back.

Tips for Implementing Affiliate Offers into your Blog

Blogging can be a great way to express yourself, but it can also be a great way to subsidize, or in some cases replace your income entirely. One of those sources of income will surely be from affiliate offers that you mix into your content. Here are a few tips to get the most out of those affiliate offers, and maximize your potential earnings.

Know your readers

If you have a blog where you discuss muscle cars, then it probably isn’t going to make sense to target ads for SEO tools, or gardening equipment. Sure your readers may have blogs of their own, and require SEO tools, and some of them will even have gardens, but the conversion rates you will experience won’t be anywhere near where they should be, because the ads aren’t targeted to the audience. Chances are if I’m spending time regularly on your site though you would have a good chance of enticing me with performance parts, visual upgrades like mag wheels, custom lighting, gauges, or even offers of cheap car insurance through Geico! Implementing targeted ads will not only ensure that you receive the highest possible conversions possible with your offers, but will also blend into the overall theme of the site as well. If I’m visiting a website dedicated to muscle cars, then having somewhere to buy muscle cars, or the parts for them isn’t obtrusive but more of a service since I regularly buy them anyway, it might as well be from a website I already frequent on a regular basis and most likely trust to some degree or another based on the fact that they have dedicated a portion of their own time and resources into bringing me quality information on a regular basis.

Personal recommendations

Invest more time and effort, as well as giving up the best ad spots for offers that you can personally recommend to your readers, because you actually use the product yourself, and are impressed with it. If a product, or service has impressed you in some way, and you feel that it is head and shoulders above other similar, or competing products then share this information with your readers and you should see a slightly higher conversion rate over other products, even ones that are publicly known to be solid performers, but are not being personally used by yourself.

Suggestive selling

By placing your affiliate offers around related material where it is likely to be seen and picked up by people who would most benefit from the product or service, you will have the best chance of success while at the same time performing a service for the person who buys it. I wrote an eBook that walks people through the same process that I took to start up my own online business, and within those steps are things like registering a domain name, setting up hosting etc. Now these people can go out and do the research and choose to register and host with whatever company they like, but since they already have a relationship with me, many of them choose to trust in the fact that I have already researched the different companies, and simply take my recommendation which is also an affiliate link to the different products or services that I’ve been talking about in my eBook. Imagine how much additional business a car dealership would experience if they also incorporated an insurance company onsite. The people could choose to drive across town and insure their vehicle and head back to pick up their car, or they could just do it all in one location, chances are many would choose the simpler option.

Use different media delivery methods

Don’t limit yourself to just one type of affiliate marketing strategy within your blog. Use as many different delivery channels as you can, and invest the time and energy into the ones that perform the best. The most common one I see is the affiliate banner ads situated on the different pages of a person’s blog, but you can also choose to write a specific review on a product or service and have it be its own post. You can merely make reference to a product or service that you use, or have used and include your affiliate link within the post. Sending out tweets to your followers is another method that has proven to be lucrative in the past but is losing its effectiveness due to the many spammers that are prolific on Twitter nowadays. Sending out affiliate offers to your email list is another great way to convert readers into customers. Writing an eBook for your readers benefit, while at the same time including your affiliate links within the book has been around forever, and is still going strong today.

Diversify

Don’t limit yourself to just a couple of affiliate offers, but spread them out through appropriate and relevant blog posts. People will be reading quality blog posts for many years after they have been written, and making money on those affiliate offers that are embedded into them isn’t a bad way to supplement your income.

Monitor your campaigns

Don’t be afraid to cancel affiliate banner spots that aren’t performing in order to replace them with ads that will. Make sure you measure the results of your different ad campaigns, and fine tune them so that you are maximizing your returns on them, after all if you’ve invested the time and money into building up your blog to a respectable level, then you should be compensated for the advertising spots that you allow to show throughout your blog.

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money blogging, and exploring the different methods, and delivery vehicles that are available to you as a blog owner can be fun and exciting as well, not at all like the work many of us have or still do in the corporate world. If you’re going to go to the trouble of building up a high traffic blog with bazillions of readers, then you might as well maximize the earning potential of it also.

Four More Tips to a Better Blog

Blog Tips

Blogging is rewarding in so many ways, and for those of us who dedicate the time to researching, writing, and publishing our best works it is something we would likely call a passion. And it is for this reason that we continually strive to improve our blogs, by adding more content, more features, and perpetually striving to drive ever more traffic to it, in order that we might showcase our thoughts for the world to see.

I’m going to share a few of the blog improvement tips that I’ve implemented in order to make it more productive and even more profitable for me.

Tip #1:
Develop a blog post checklist, and use it prior to publishing each and every post. A basic step that many people overlook is to read it after you’ve written it. Often times you’ll find mistakes in prose that you didn’t notice while putting it together the first time. Spell check it, prior to publishing it, good grammar, and spelling go a long way to lending itself toward professionalism. Spend more than a minute on the title, often this is the most important aspect of a post. Double check your links if you’ve included any, and remember to give credit if you’ve used information from another website or source. If you are including an image, try to pick an attractive and clear image that lends itself to the overall picture of the post. I recommend you implement your very own checklist made up of key areas that are important to you.

Tip #2:
Make it easy for people to reach out to you, and you can do this by making sure you have a strong presence on Facebook, Twitter, include either an email for them to reach you, or a contact form so that you can stay in touch with your audience. Another great tool that you have at your disposal for communicating with your readers, is the comments section after each post, make sure you are utilizing it to the best of your ability and making the most of the plugins that assist with this process. Two plugins that I would recommend are:

1.       Subscribe to comments which allow your readers to check so that if they ask a question or are just interested in the topic being discussed they can receive an email whenever a new comment is left on that particular blog post.

2.       Top commentator plugin is a great way to reward your readers for leaving those valuable comments behind, you can set it to reset at a given time frame.  It simply calculates the number of comments each reader leaves, and then you can give the top five (or however many you choose) a nice backlink to their site.

Tip #3:
Now this tip could have been included in the previous one since it is a form of communication, but it is so much more, and I felt it deserved its own tip #!  Email Marketing! Now whether or not you plan to ever sell a single item or make a single cent from your blog, you should still not be ignoring this one. By offering your readers something of value in exchange for their email address, you are able to reach out to them, and contact them at will. There is no better way of driving additional traffic to a new section of your site, or even just to your new blog posts this week. If you mail out to 50,000+ people this week telling them about your weeks blog posts how much more traffic do you think you will receive this week from that source alone? I get about a 20 – 30 % open rate on my blog posts that get emailed out to my subscribers each week (or after they reach a total of 7 new posts). With 50,000 subscribers that works out to anywhere from 1429 people a day to 2143 people a day of people who might not have stopped by for a visit to your site that week. Many of you may not even be getting 1500 – 2000 people a day, so you can see that by spending the time to develop this area, you will certainly see results in the long run.

Tip #4
Take the time to fix and repair any damaged areas of your blog, just as you would your home. If a light bulb burns out, you fix it; likewise if a link gets broken, fix it. Spend some time each week doing maintenance on your blog, here is a quick checklist for you.

-          No CSS errors

-          No Html errors, I use http://validator.w3.org/ to check these two areas.

-          Check your site for broken links and update. Also make sure to check on your affiliate links, or banners that you have installed to make sure each site you are linking too hasn’t gone offline for some reason.

-          Make use of Google’s Webmaster Tools to verify that your sitemap is working correctly, and there are no crawl errors, if there are fix them. (These affect your traffic from Google quite drastically, if you notice a sudden drop in traffic I suggest you take a look here).

-          Make sure you’ve added alt tags to all of your images, and that they are optimized.

-          Now is also a great time to make your to do list for the coming week ahead and list out any modifications you’d like to implement, plugins you’d like to try, or any other tweaks that you feel might benefit your blog in some way.

Building your blog is an ongoing process that you will be undertaking for many years to come, and over time you will grow and evolve your own skills and tactics as well, and those changes will be reflected in the works that you publish, the overall theme that you end up going with, and the site that is known as your blog!

Follow Influential Bloggers

Influential Bloggers

It’s important to open yourself up to other styles, and writing ideas and a great way to do this is to simply take a look around at the bloggers in your niche, and see just what it is that there doing differently. Often you’ll be able to pick up on certain aspects of a blogger that has a certain degree of success in one area or another that you’d like to be successful in.

Each person brings different ideas, and talents to the table, and by following other bloggers you will start to open up to new methods of driving sales, or converting traffic, or heck getting the traffic in the first place. I know other bloggers and internet marketers that get less traffic than I do, but make more money than I do. Now I’m probably going to pay more attention to how they are converting their traffic and setting up their site vs. how they manage to get traffic.

Blogging and Internet marketing require us to be flexible, and continuously learning. If your blog is about happiness, or dogs, or horses, or whatever, how long do you think it will be before you run out of ideas to write about? Do you have 100 articles in your head about happiness? 200? Sooner or later you’re going to have to reach out and learn more about your topic, and continually strive for new inspiration to write new content and your fellow writers out there in the blogosphere are a great source for both.

Don’t worry that because one of the people you follow wrote an article last month on a certain topic, and you’d like to, but don’t feel you should because it’s already been written. We each have our own writing style and experiences, and your article will come out uniquely yours. If we gave twenty people a topic to write about, we’d end up with twenty very different stories I’m sure.

However if you use information from someone else’s site, be sure to credit them as the source, with a link back to them. Most people don’t mind being quoted as a source, and the backlink is always appreciated.

I read a dozen or so blogs regularly, and learn something from each of them, and even with that I’m limiting myself, I am often amazed by some of the new blogs I stumble across, and the content that I find, or the writing style that keeps me reading for an hour or more, or how they’ve set up their site. There are so many talented bloggers out there that you can visit and learn from.

I’d suggest bookmarking them, and maybe give them a rating system so that you can keep them sorted into an easy to find navigational system. Keeping track of fifty or a hundred blogs can be challenging, but 100 blogs isn’t even a drop in the blogosphere bucket.

Technoratti.com can be a great source for finding blogs in a certain niche, or that cover a certain topic. You can also get an idea of how popular by taking a look at the authority rating they’ve been given, though I’d suggest leaving your final judgment in your own hands because they seem be having some issues lately since making some changes to their system. My own site went from 478 authority to 128 and just sat there until I resubmitted it, and then it bounced back up. You can also search for blog posts that cover a certain topic.

Show Me the “Online” Money – Ways to Make Money Online

make money online

There are many ways to make money online. If you dedicate yourself you a particular method, you will be able to say ‘show me the “online” money’. Since there are so many methods to choose from, you can find one that is of interest to you or that will fit your needs and circumstances. The first way you can make money is through advertising. If you have your own website, you can use it to sell ads. You can deal through an online broker or set up the tags and sell the ads yourself.

The next way that will help you to say ‘show me the “online” money’ is through affiliate sales. You can sell media such as e-books and other digital products, or you can sell physical items. Either way, you will be acting as a virtual reseller. This is a commission job that pays you for each sale that you make. You can find online marketplaces that will sell digital goods and others that sell physical goods. Another option is blog reviews. This is an online job that will ensure that you are paid for blogging about the services and products of other individuals.

You can also package and sell your own content. This content can be digital media that can be downloaded or extended versions of content that already exists. Consulting is another option. You can act as a consultant for others on the web or in person. You can also teach courses in an area that you are proficient in. You can create materials like books, CDs or DVDs and create video tutorials and more. Selling these training courses can be an ongoing job or a one-time deal. Freelance services are similar to consulting, but offer you various different jobs.

Information products will also prove beneficial. You can produce these and sell them to others. This can be bundled materials, newsletters or magazines. Selling memberships is another option. You can sell access to these programs as web-based, private memberships. Usually, it is related to digital media and other content that includes extended or advanced versions of products. The products that can be included are screen casts, webinars and teleseminars, private listings of contacts for key industries, members only forums, chat rooms, and social networking opportunities, local meetings, in depth tutorials, video and audio files, and group coaching or individual coaching.

If these options don’t work for you, there are others still. There are other things that you can sell online, such as crafts or other items that you create personally. There are several marketplaces that allow you to sell your items, including eBay, Craigslist, and Etsy. You may also consider hosting training and seminars. You can allow access to these classes, as well as coach courses and promote these classes on and offline. You can write custom write software developed by you or that is outsourced. You can also buy and sell web domain sells, but this is not for everyone. Lastly, there is website flipping, which involves building new websites then selling them.

Multiple Streams of Internet Income – Seven Streams of Income

Multiple Streams of Income

Having an opt-in list is a major factor in having multiple streams of income. It opens you up to the possibility of having more than one income, all coming from one website. The first possible stream of income comes from special offers. You may send out content in various forms, but try sending out special offers to your list once or twice per season. Don’t include anything else within the email expect the offer, so that the readers will not be distracted by anything. However, don’t send out these offers too often or they will not seem too special to those receiving them.

The second stream of income in your multiple streams of internet income can be selling products. From within your opt-in list, this will allow you to generate income from selling your products to individuals on your list. Post a quick message welcoming subscribers, followed by a small note regarding one of your products. This may become the primary point of your website sales. Remember not to go right into the sale. Instead, be polite and ease into the sale so that you will gain the trust of your subscribers.

Your next income stream comes from joint ventures. If you can enter a joint venture with someone with a large email list, such as an ezine owner, it will be very valuable to you. This is because such individuals constantly need products of the highest quality and service to sell to people on their lists. Income stream four comes from affiliate programs. Search for an affiliate program that will provide good articles and content for you. You will be able to promote them with their content. By joining affiliate programs you will accomplish two things. You earn profits from your affiliate because you have run their article, and you receive already written content for your email publications.

The fifth way you can obtain multiple streams of internet income is through sponsor ads. You can sell space within your own newsletter or publications, dedicating this space in your newsletter to ads. You can also buy space from others to place your ads for your own products. The sixth way also deals with ads, but is for classified ads. For opt-in publications via email, you can use this space to trade ads with larger companies or it can be used as a bonus for whatever product you are selling.

The final income stream for multiple streams of internet income is with membership site upgrades. This income stream is rarely every thought about by publishers. Since publications for email are sent out for free, you should not make all of your best content free. If your information is difficult to find and unique, people will be willing to pay for it. Thus, paid membership sites will allow you to provide members with exclusive information that they can’t find anywhere else. This will allow you to expand your income with yet another stream of income that is certainly an untapped resource on the internet.

Managing Multiple Websites – How to Make It Possible

Multiple Streams of Income

You have often heard that the key to success on the internet is to have multiple streams of income. This way, if one stream of income dries up, you have other ones to fall back on. You can make yourself multiple streams of income by setting up multiple websites. Most affiliate marketers will tell you that they run multiple affiliate websites. They may even dabble in other niches, such as SEO and blogs. All of these subjects require their own separate websites. Managing all of these topics together on one website will make the website look sloppy and disorganized. This will be detrimental to the owners, because it will result in a lack of visitors.

Setting up a website for each separate niche takes time. Even if all of your websites revolve around affiliate marketing, every website must have its own theme. For example, if you’re interested in selling electronics, information, and household cleaning products, then you will need three separate websites for these subjects. This helps keep you organized. However, you still need to know how to manage all of these websites. For most people, the thought of managing multiple websites is a headache and a chore. But it doesn’t have to be that way. All you need is a bit of prudent planning.

Look at your schedule. No matter how busy you are, you can always find at least 10 minutes a day. Take those 10 minutes and work on one of your websites. It doesn’t have to be every day. You can do it once a week. As long as you do it on a regular basis, that’s all that matters. The 10 minutes can be used to do one or two things. You can set up affiliate links, or put information on your website. You can choose a layout. You can rearrange some things. As long as you do some work on your website in those 10 minutes, you’re managing your website.

You don’t have to work on all of your websites at once. If you have three websites, try working on one each day each week. There are claims that with some websites you can just “set it and forget it.” This is entirely untrue. A good webmaster will check on his websites if nothing else. Make sure that your links are still valid. Broken links can lead to a decrease in visitors and less traffic. You don’t always have to change your layouts, but perhaps updating information is in order. If some things have changed, you want your website to reflect those changes. Keep the information on your website current.

Your time constraints or circumstances don’t matter. Managing multiple websites is completely possible. You have to manage your time correctly in order to succeed at it. It also helps not to take on more websites than you can possible handle. If you’re new, try out no more than five. You don’t want to overwhelm yourself or burn yourself out. This will result in your websites being neglected. In the long run, such a thing can hurt your success in whichever niche you choose.

Video Blogs – How to Create a Video Blog

Video Blog

Simply put, video blogs are a collection of videos that are posted on a website. They are also referred to as ‘vlogs’. Video blogs act just as blogs do, and involve speaking on a certain topic by way of video. Creating a video blog can be easy and fun, and it also does not have to cost you anything. You can use this method to reach out to people and tell them what you know. You will need a camcorder, as well as a high speed internet connection and editing software.

The first step to creating your video blog is to have a theme in mind. All video blogs have a theme or reason behind them. They can be created for various reasons, and may be for personal use or professional use. The second step is to find a website to host your video blog. There are many free services that will allow you to upload your video blogs to their website and allow others to view them from there. Of course, this step is much simpler if you have your own website. If you do, you can simply have a page to upload your video blog onto your own website and allow people to view it.

The third step is to name your video blog. If you are serious about video blogging, then you must have a name for your video blog. Of course, the content contained in video blogs is much more important than the actual title. However, your title should still reflect the theme of your blog, and it should be catchy and memorable. The fourth step deals with preparing your content. It takes much more time to create a video blog than it takes to type an article, because of all of the work that goes into it. Make sure that you have enough content to keep your video blog going.

Step five is to post your videos. Remember to come up with an update format. You can update your blog as often as you’d like but be consistent, such as once or twice a week on the same day or around the same time. Next, you should promote your video blog. In order to gain an audience for your video blog, you have to seek out people that will watch your videos. You can send out an email to your contacts or engage in other methods people employ to get traffic to their video blogs.

Many people make money from their video blogs. This may be an option for you. Depending on the type of content you have, you may be able to make money from your video blog. It will also depend on where your video blog is hosted. This may be much simpler if your video blog is hosted on your own personal website. Remember to continuously create new content to keep your viewers interested in what you have to say. It helps if you focus on topics that you find interesting and like to talk about.
