The Lazy Affiliates Guide To Article Marketing

The Lazy Affiliates Guide To Article Marketing

As an affiliate marketer have you ever use article marketing? The reason I ask this is because a lot of people have used article marketing in the past but have veered away from it as of lately. What you need to understand is that article marketing still works and it has even gotten better.

One of the biggest problems that people have with article marketing is the fact that they have to write the articles, but do they? For the longest time search engines, article directories, web 2.0 properties and even blogs have wanted original content and that is still the case, but there is a twist that you need to be aware of.

Have you ever heard of PLR articles? Being that you are here at PLRInternetMarketing.com, I am sure you have heard of PLR articles at some point. The nice thing about PLR articles is that you can use them anyway that you like to and even alter them to fit your needs.

I know what you are thinking and “No this is not going to be a lot of work”.

Being that it is best to get an original article on every article directory and web 2.0 property, you will need to find a way to make these PLR articles original. Luckily for you, I have already found a way to make PLR articles look and sound original and this is how you can become a lazy affiliate while making a good amount of money.

Have you ever heard of article spinning?

Article spinning is simply where you take 1 original article and you create different versions of that same article using different words. Below is an example of what it would look like.

Example:

Original sentence – The dog ran fast through the field

Spun version – {The dog ran fast through the field|The dog jogged quickly through the grass|The dog ran past the field quickly}.

Do you see how the entire article would look different after you did this to every sentence? This is why this method works. Now again, I know what you are thinking and “No, this is not going to be a lot of work”.

The reason this is not going to be a lot of work is because you can spin the entire article using a tool called The Best Spinner. The nice thing about The Best Spinner is it is exactly what it says, the best spinner out there. If you want to quickly spin your PLR articles, then using a spinning tool is going to be your best friend. My only advice is that you re-read the articles before you post them anywhere because there might be some mistakes that get overlooked.

Tips To Spinning PLR Articles

Ensure Quality

– One thing that you need to do is always make sure the article you are about to submit is a quality article. There is nothing worse than trying to submit something that is just going to make the internet a bad place. My suggestion would be to read anything that is spun to make sure that it is readable and has some value.

High Spin Difference

– With all article spinners they will show you what the difference is and you need to make sure the spin difference is really high. When I say high, I am not talking about 60%, I am talking about 98% of higher. As you will see once the article is spun to 98% or more, it looks completely different while still conveying the same message.

Being a lazy affiliate marketer is great, the only thing better than that is seeing all the checks come in month after month. Just know that it will take some time to get started but once you have a process down and enough articles online, you will be glad that you advantage of the lazy affiliates guide to article marketing.

Why Your Article Marketing Sucks

Why Your Article Marketing Sucks
Are you using article marketing to try and get more traffic and more links? This is a common tactic that bloggers use and the reason is because it works, well, when done right it does. Although article marketing works, most people think that it sucks and they think this for good reason. What you need to understand is that most people write articles for the wrong reason, they link to the wrong page and they just don’t do enough marketing.

Article marketing is one of those things that you need to do in order to increase the exposure of your website and if you don’t, then your site is sure to fail. If you want to take your website to the next level, then I strongly recommend that you listen and remember the reasons why your article marketing sucks.

Why Your Articles Suck

Trying To Sell

Have you ever read an article where the person couldn’t hide how bad they were trying to sell you on something? This is what happens with most article marketers, what you need to understand is trying to sell through an article is not how to make a sale. The only way you will ever make your article work for you is by simply trying to be informative. What I highly recommend is that you change your vocabulary so that it doesn’t include any sales words or phrases and make sure that you are not trying to sell the first time somebody is introduced to your writing. Selling is something that is done much faster and easier when somebody trusts you and what you have to say.

Write Bad Articles

Your articles will always suck if you write bad ones. What a lot of people do is they hire somebody else to do their article marketing for them and then they simply submit their work. What you need to understand is that articles need to be written with a purpose and with quality information. If you can’t write articles (or hire somebody to write quality articles), then article marketing is never going to amount to anything.

Don’t Write Enough

How often do you write articles for the purpose of article marketing? If you are only writing 2 articles a week, then you need to write more. My advice is to write at least 1 article per day in order to keep your website growing and gain more traffic. I know that 2 articles per day might be a lot to you but the truth is that if you keep it up you will see the results very soon.

Topic Isn’t Relevant

If you are writing to get people to your website, then writing on a relevant topic is a must. Something that I have seen a lot lately is people putting links in articles that are not even generally related to one another. One thing that you need to understand is that nobody is going to click a link about curling irons if they are there to read an article about pasta recipes. Think about it, would you do that?

As you can see, writing articles is all about connecting with the reader and offering them exactly what they want. Something that a lot of article marketers don’t realize is that you can’t just throw a link to a dog training site at the end of an article about losing weight, it just doesn’t work. Trust me when I say this, article marketing is a skill that anybody can master as long as they put in the time and energy.

My Sure Fire Way To Gain More Traffic

My Sure Fire Way To Gain More Traffic

Whether you are trying to get traffic to a blog, affiliate link, signup page or just a social network page doesn’t matter, what matters is that you have a way to get traffic there when you need to. What most people don’t understand is there is no magic button that you can push to get more traffic, or is there?

Truth is that there is a way that you can gain more traffic whenever you want to and all you have to do is write a guest post. There are a lot of people out there that have never written a guest post and my guess is they are working a lot longer than they want to just to get the same results others are getting. If you want to gain more traffic to your website of choice, then you need to start writing guest posts. Trust me on this one, there are many benefits to writing guest posts and each and I am going to explain those benefits right now.

Benefits Of Guest Posts

Traffic

The first benefit that you will see is the traffic that comes directly from the guest post to your website. Another great thing about writing guest posts is that depending on how big the website is, you will get more or less traffic. A lot of people think that submitting guest posts to bigger websites is the only way to get more traffic but what you need to understand is that sometimes submitting guest posts to bigger websites will not get you as much traffic because the website will have more competition than smaller ones. Just know that small websites have just as big of a benefit as bigger websites do so make sure you think about this before you submit any articles.

Links

What do you do for link building? Are you stuck on blog commenting, article marketing and profile links? If this is all you are doing for link building, then guest posting will surely benefit you. What a lot of people like about guest posting is that they get a dofollow link with the anchor text of their choice. If you are trying to rank for a certain keyword, then you will find that guest posts are a great way to increase your search engine position without much effort.

Exposure

One other thing that you need to be aware of is the exposure that you will receive. The great thing about getting exposure is that it doesn’t matter what niche you are in, even the smallest amount of exposure in your niche will benefit you and your website. If you want to be seen as an expert in your field, then it is a must to get your name or brand out there and guest posts are a great way to do that.

What you need to understand is that these are not the only benefits to guest posts, there are many more. The reason why I only explained these three benefits of guest posts is because this should be more than enough to make you want to write them. Think about it, a guest post thrives because you are posting it on an already built blog which means that you can piggyback off the blog owners hard work.

Being that guest posting is something that more and more people are getting into, you need to start utilizing it today. I am not saying that you can’t gain more traffic without guest posts but the truth is that it will be a lot harder and takes a lot more time.

My Trick to Dominate The Search Engines

blog blueprint

Blog commenting, forum posts, article marketing, social bookmarks and link exchanges – Are you tired of doing all of these yet? If you are anything like everybody else online, then you are building links the hard way.
Yeah, I know that you have to build links in order to get more organic traffic from the search engines (especially Google), but you don’t have to spend hours upon hours doing it every single day.

What am I saying?

There is a better way! If you want to build backlinks faster than ever and have them count for much more than your links are now, then I am going to show you my trick to doing so. Whether you are promoting an affiliate product, building niche websites, establishing your presence for a certain keyword or just increasing your position for an already ranked keyword my trick will help.

Have you ever heard of BlogBlueprint?

BlogBlueprint is a blog network of hundreds of high pagerank websites that you can post your articles on. Not only that but the articles don’t have to be 400 words, they don’t have to be even 250 words, they only need to be 100 words. How many 100 word articles do you think you could write in a day?
Now, I know that writing articles is not everybody’s favorite thing to do, but if you can get a quick backlink out of it then why not do it? What I am saying is that you don’t have to spend hours building backlinks, you can quickly and easily increase your search engine rankings by using BlogBlueprint. Being that I want to give you a leg up on the competition, I am going to give you a few tips that will have your websites ranking for high traffic keywords in no time at all.

Tips To Using BlogBlueprint

Write Articles Daily

– If you want to see any movement in your search engine position, then you have to write a good amount of articles. My advice would be to write at least 1 article every day for each website that you have. I am not saying that you have to write 20 articles per day but you need to write more to see better results.
Tip: One thing you need to make sure you don’t do is create too many links too quickly. If you have a newer site or one that you don’t build links too that often, then you need to limit the number of links that you build so that you are not sandboxed by Google.

Use Different Anchor Text

– Not only should you not build too many links too quickly, you need to diversify your anchor text. This should not be that difficult for you to do, all you need to do is keep track of how many links you built using each keyword. For this I recommend using an Excel spreadsheet because it is fast and easy to use. My advice would be to never link to a website using the same anchor text more than 40% of the time.

Place Links In Content

– One of the things that you have the option of doing is placing your link in the content or after the content. This is entirely up to you but in my opinion you need to place the links in the middle of the 100 word article. The reason I recommend you do things like this is because links in the content itself will not look like spam and the likelihood of somebody clicking on them will be much higher. Just do yourself a favor and place your links in a spot that is clickable to the blog readers.
As you can see, building backlinks using BlogBlueprint is very simple and that is why I continue to use it. If you are tired of spending hours on link building just to see your website stay in the same position, then keep doing what you are doing. If you want to see some changes in your search engine rankings and want to start making more money, then it is about time that you used something that works.

The Importance of Article Marketing in Your Promotions

Without marketing efforts, your online business will flop. You have to let the people know you’re online and what you’re all about. One way to easily and inexpensively market your business is by either writing articles or hiring someone to write them for you.

The purpose of these articles is that they can be used to promote your website through the use of backlinks in the articles. Plus, it’s smart strategy for search engine optimization. These articles act as fingers pointing the way to your site and driving traffic there.

Every marketer knows that the more traffic a website receives, the higher the likelihood that sales will also increase. You can’t sell your products if the population isn’t made aware of what you have to offer to them.

If you were to simplify article marketing, it could be defined as advertising. That’s what article marketing does for you. Advertises your business – but it does it a lot cheaper than traditional methods ever could.

Once the articles are written and edited, the next step is to submit them to article directories. Always make sure you use fresh content, because the same article with a few words switched around won’t pass some directories with stringent article approval rules.

When submitting to more than one directory, what happens for the website you’re promoting is that a larger net is cast into the sea of traffic than there would be if you didn’t promote this way.

People searching the Internet find your article, read the content (make it relevant and engaging), and they feel they’ve learned some important information that will help them so they follow the link to learn even more.

Different article directories will have different rules concerning backlinks. Some won’t allow them in the middle of an article and only want them in your signature while other directories don’t care where you put them.

Submitting articles to directories should be an ongoing process rather than a “submit and forget it.” The more well-received articles you submit, the more your reputation as an expert will grow and the higher you’ll rank in search engines.

When you write the articles (or have them written) you want to use a specific strategy. For example, if you’re writing about how to make money selling eBooks, you can write articles on the popularity of eBooks, why people buy them and the steps they can take to write their own.

You want to be careful that you give them enough information to make the reader interested and want to click on the link to head over to your site. If you write the articles in an informative way that gives value, then you’ll drive traffic to your site – but if you write it as a hard-hitting sales letter, you’ll end up pushing people away.

Are you taking your Blog Seriously?

Blog Plan

If you’re blogging as a hobby or as an outlet for your creative juices, then feel free to skip over this article. If on the other hand you’d like to take blogging to the next level and start generating an income, or perhaps start increasing the one you’re already able to pull from it, then by all means read on.

The only thing separating the “hobby” blogger from the “professional” one is a structured approach toward building their blog into a business, and then following a few key principles on a consistent basis.

-          Professional: a person who performs commercially in a field typically reserved for hobbyists or amateurs (one definition)

Are you aware that there are three year old blogs commanding a $2000.00 price tag for a single ad spot? What if I told you they had over twenty different ad spots and that the lowest priced spot sold for $400.00 a month? If these numbers don’t impress you perhaps the fact that every single one of those ad spots are sold out, and if you’d like to advertise there you’ll have to wait in line.

The site is http://www.redmondpie.com/ and chances are the majority of you haven’t even heard of it before. These people have chosen to take their site seriously and as such have invested both time and commitment into it. I’m sure a fair bit of that income also went back into its growth.

So if you’re ready to move that blog of yours into the next league grab a notepad, keep reading, and jot down your ideas for your own blog.

The first thing you should have if you don’t already is a clear expectation of what it is you expect to get out of your blog. Don’t be vague here; this is where you’re going to be spending a fair amount of your time if you plan to treat it as you would a business.

If you need to make a thousand dollars a month with it, write it out, also list out the different ways you intend to monetize it, are you going to offer services? Sell a product? Do you already have the product, or are you going to create it, or have it created for you? Creation takes time, outsourcing takes money! Do you have one or both of these?

When you’re setting goals for your blog to achieve keep in mind that this is a fluid document, and can change and adapt with your business. You may find that writing comes so naturally to you, and you’re able to pump out twenty or thirty high quality articles each day. Obviously if this is the case you’ll excel at things like posting frequency, guest posting, and article marketing, and so on.

On the flip side you may find you are html inept, and can’t learn that gobbledygook speak no matter how much you try. If that’s the case you might choose to outsource that part of your business, or perhaps trade your writing services for it from someone who has it.

Having goals isn’t enough, you have to track your progress as you move your blog along its journey, decide which metrics are important to you, and then list them out so that you can follow up on a regular basis. A word of warning though, don’t get into the habit of continually checking to see if they are moving upward, this can be a great time waster, and can cut into productivity time if you aren’t careful. Decide early on how often you’ll measure and compare them. I’d suggest once weekly at the beginning so can formulate your game plan for the week, and hit those areas that are falling behind, or perhaps those that are showing promise.

Some KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) you might want to track.

-          Daily Unique visitors (use Google Analytics)

-          Backlinks (make sure you are building backlinks religiously)

-          Social Media such as Fans, Followers, RSS, etc.

-          Income and expenses

-          Keyword rankings

-          Sales funnel conversions

-          Comments on your blog

These are just a handful, and each blog will have its own unique measurements to keep track of, perhaps you have a forum, and memberships and new posts are something that are of interest to you, remember there is no right or wrong thing here, these should measure the things you have deemed important in the growth of your business.

Don’t be afraid to do some competitive analysis and see just how those other sites in your niche are being successful. With some research skills, and a bit of time you can learn an awful lot about someone and how they run their blog just by digging a little, and reading what they’ve had to say along their own journey.

For the most part, bloggers will willingly share the things they’re trying, and let you know which worked, and which failed miserably. Don’t expect the answer to jump out just by visiting the homepage, do some reading.

Dedicate both time and money towards the development of your blog. Having a professional looking site is paramount to being taken seriously by potential customers. Just because you know how to make a website, doesn’t always mean you should. When in doubt join a forum, and ask the other members for advice, they generally won’t hold any punches, and if you aren’t overly sensitive you can come out of it with some great new ideas.

Blogging can encompass so many different areas that you’ll likely feel a little like a jack of all trades when you’re done. Spend time learning the different aspects that might benefit you. Things like:

-          Copywriting

-          Writing

-          Graphic Design

-          SEO

-          Link building (off site SEO)

-          Marketing

-          Affiliate Marketing

-          Internet Marketing

-          HTML

-          Keyword Research

-          Social Media Marketing

-          Branding

-          Brand monitoring and protection

-          Customer Service

-          And the list goes on…

By investing in your online education, you’ll help ensure you have more tools at your disposal to bring both you as a marketer, and your blog to the level you need to be at in order to reach your goals.

Use tools to help you with your blog, there are tools that have helped tremendously with the growth of my site, and without them I’d still be struggling along at a snail’s pace. It’s up to you to decide which one’s you feel will be a good fit for your goals, and skills, and invest in them.

In case you’re wondering here are some of my own tools broken down into two sections, necessary, and efficiency.

Necessary Tools for my business:

-          Hostgator (VPS Level 4)

-          Aweber (Manage my email marketing)

-          Godaddy (for registering those great domain names)

-          Fan page, and Twitter account

-          Google Analytics

-          Google Webmaster tools

-          My Success book (read explanation at bottom of page)

Efficiency Tools for my business:

-          Tweet Deck

-          Tweet Attacks

-          Adobe Photoshop

-          Dreamweaver

-          Bookmarking Demon

-          Twiends

-          IBP (Internet Business Promoter)

-          Market Samurai

-          Max CDN (Content Delivery Network)

-          Other marketers products, e-books, courses, blogs, etc. (I’ve learnt from the best)

Now these are a handful of the tools I use daily, and feel were all worth the investment to purchase. They have each helped me take my blog further than I could have done without them.

  • My Success book is actually one of my most powerful tools despite being something so simple. I took a notebook and on the first page listed out 31 ingredients that I felt if I had accomplished I’d have made my blog a success. Things like Subscriber counts, traffic levels, guest posts, and so on. Then I dedicated two pages to each of the 31 goals. So for example my Fan page I decided I wanted 60,000 fans. I then broke my goals into chunks of 500 and listed them out on the page dedicated to Facebook Growth. Now every time I pass a 500 milestone I cross off that particular number from the page, the next milestone will be 29,500 and I’ll pass it tomorrow most likely. (Hit the like and help me out would ya!) LOL

There are goals that were much easier; one is to have a stock of 31 blog posts written for future use, or for holidays, etc. All I did hear was list out 1 through 31 on the page, and as I add one more article I scratch off the applicable number. I’m able to constantly (daily) be celebrating two or three small successes that I know will take me to where I want to go with my blog, and I get the motivation that comes with that.

The Idea was so simple, but it’s immeasurably powerful for me, I’d highly recommend you give it a shot and see if it works for you.

Auto bloggers are dead, true SEO rises

auto blogs

Auto bloggers have been the talk of the web for quite some time now, but for what? Auto bloggers bring nothing new to the online world – these people strive to steal other’s works, take credit, and make money from it – but this isn’t funny. A lot of webmasters are sick and tired of auto bloggers ranking for their keywords – and quite frankly, we are too.

..How do I stop an autoblogger? Easy, beat them at their own game – write quality content, and drive backlinks towards your site – that way, they have to work harder, and can’t compete against you. Google has been knocking out a lot of autoblog websites from search, and that’s good news, because true webmasters should be winning – and its always been that way, quality content, over spam.

What if an autoblogger is beating me?

Step up your content writing skills, and guest posts along the way – also build more links – either through link exchanging,  press releases, or article marketing – I’ve yet to see a true webmaster get beat by an auto blogger – why? Because autoblogging is stupid, and very annoying – its not unique, its copying, and really if you copy someone, then strive to be better than them – sure, you can have a highly ranked auto blogger, but what if someone reports you? Then, you’re screwed.

So, one thing I’d recommend to all webmasters is – work hard if an auto blogger is beating you – strive to have the best content, and strive to outlast auto bloggers – if Google can strive to knock these people out, so can you.

I recently asked this question on my twitter @cpvr and this was said.

“@cpvr @robert_kennedy I think we all are. Is there a better phrase than #SpammySEO? Link churning, or something?”

“@rtowendy @cranberrydotca RT @cpvr: @MuskokaLakeWine @Robert_KennedyLike call the titles “Autobloggers, Fake seo dead”"

Ya, so of course, auto blogging is dead, and true SEO is rising.
So, focus on not auto-blogger, but focus on quality content that helps you rank higher – for certain keywords, because we all know that “Content is king”, but it has to be of quality, that way people link you and come to your site for resource – and being unique – nobody likes a copycat – and nobody likes people that copy in order to succeed – so if you run an autoblog, then you need to focus on developing other sites, that aren’t using other’s RSS feeds for content – or anything of that matter.

It’s not hard to come up with your own content, its actually quite easy if you’re a true webmaster, or SEO person that knows how to be creative – so the fact remains, auto blogger is dead, and true SEO is back.

Great job Google for dropping the ban hammer on a lot of the cheating webmasters – they give “true” SEO a bad name, why? Auto blogging sucks and so does the people that copy other’s content – we’re sick of it, Google is sick of it, and I’m pretty sure a lot of other search engines will follow.

Elite Internet Marketing Forum

Internet Marketing Community and Forum

As many of you know I’m currently in the process of integrating an internet marketing community into the website in order to offer you all a place to go where you can build relationships, offer advice, ask questions and so much more that will help you with your marketing goals.

There are both a free section that contains the main internet marketing forum as well as the lounge where you can hang out and discuss just about anything that strikes your fancy, as well as the Elite Membership sections where the more serious marketers gather to discuss some of the more advanced topics, as well as discuss joint venture possibilities etc.

I’ve made the paid section affordable to all at $6.00 per month, or $49.00 per year, however I realize that many of you starting off in the make money online industry may be doing so out of the need to try and earn more money and as such maybe can’t afford even that amount. So rather than leave anyone behind, I’ve structured a way that you can get your membership for zero. To learn more, read the section at the bottom of this page!

Some reasons why you should join an online internet marketing community:

-          Relationships – Forums are a great way to meet other marketers, and small business owners who are interested in many of the very same topics as you are interested in. Each one of us also bringing a different set of skills and knowledge to the discussion. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had a question that I was unable to find the answer to online, only to have another member who happened to be an expert in that exact field come up with the answer for me. Over time these relationships will benefit everyone, because you’ll develop a trust that is so important when developing both personal and business relationships with.

-          Personal and Professional Branding – Participating in an online community like this one allows you to showcase your skills and offers you a place to represent your brand. By placing a link, or banner to your website in your signature at the bottom of each of your posts you’ll also experience a great form of free advertising and traffic generation as well as numerous back links pointing to your website.

-          Education – I have met some of the most talented individuals who are not only capable, but generous with their time and knowledge and willing to share that knowledge in order to help out both new comers, and advanced internet marketers alike.  I have found that when two people belong to the same community there is almost a sense of brotherhood (or sisterhood) and as such a desire for each other to succeed rather than a competitiveness that is found most other places online and off.

-          A chance to showcase your skills and help others – While there will be times when you go in search of answers there will be just as many times that you are in a position to help the other members with something you happen to be knowledgeable about. Also if you happen to be a social media guru, and are always offering insight into those topics, chances are if you have a related website people will be extremely likely to click through and see what you have to offer over there.

-          Find reputable Services and Freelancers for sale – Since a members reputation can be discerned through a few things like reputation, ITrader, length of membership and feedback from other members, you are often much more secure when doing business online with these members. One of the things I hate most about online transactions is doing business with people I don’t know at all; this eliminates that to some degree.

These are just a few reasons it is beneficial to join an online forum, or community and there are so many others that I’m sure you’ll come to see once you join and start interacting regularly.

As you can see if you are an internet marketer, or blogger then there is definitely going to be tons of information for you and tons of opportunity for you to grow your business as well.

I’ve tried to make the forum accessible to absolutely everyone, and that includes individuals who are still striving to earn a living online. I have implemented a system where you can earn credits within the forum by simply making the same posts you’d normally make anyway, as well as referring new members which will in turn benefit everyone. Here is how the credit system works. Keep in mind the system is new and as such evolving, and I’m going to be adding more rewards as well as allowing members to offer their own as well in exchange for credits.

Earning Credits:
-
Making posts. (100 word minimum)     = 1 credit
- Referring new members                            = 1 credit
- Listing the person who referred you    = 1 credit
- Donations to each other                            = Up to the individual
- Gifts from admins and mods                    = up to the individual
- More coming

Spending Credits:
- 1 Month Membership                                   = 20 credits (or 20 posts)
- 1 Year membership                                      = 200 credits
- Banner advertising                                       = $1.00 = 3 credits (See advertising page for rates)
- Training courses                                             = $1.00 = 3 credits (If course is $47.00 then 141 credits)
- E-Books                                                             As above
- More coming soon!

Members Area Integration

members area

Someone recently asked me what my business model was, and I told him, “I’d like to be a successful well known internet marketer who makes a good living while helping others do the same thing.” Now a big part of how I help people is by providing articles that keep them informed, and motivated, as well as up to date on the different methods of internet marketing that I’m using or reading about.

Since this is what I do full time, I have a fair bit of knowledge to share, and since I’m researching these different topics I might as well take the extra time to type it up and pass it along. You never know what piece of information might contribute to someone else’s success!

I knew in the beginning that I’d like an area where internet marketers, social media enthusiasts, affiliate marketers, and all the other likeminded individuals I run into on a daily basis could go, and share ideas, or just do some research. There are online forums, but they can be a bit overwhelming at times, and if you don’t know your way around they can seem a bit “cliquey” and hard for newbies and experts alike to share some “virtual space” and hopefully some great ideas.

I’m currently in the process of building a members section, where you can register, upload your favourite profile picture, tell us as little or as much about yourself as you feel comfortable with and interact with entrepreneurs just like yourself. Building a business is never done alone.

Some of the topics covered will be:

-          Internet marketing

-          Affiliate Marketing

-          Copywriting

-          Article Marketing

-          CPA (Cost per Action)

-          CPS (Cost per Sale)

-          SEO

-          Link Building

-          Web Design

-          Programming

-          Site Reviews

-          Graphic Design

-          Product Creation

-          Joint Ventures

-          List Building

-          Email Marketing

-          Tutorials

-          Member Downloads

-          Buy Sell Trade Section

-          Hire a Freelancer Section

-          Lounge

To access the member’s area, simply click the “members” tab in the navigation bar at the top of our page, to return to the website click the “website” tab and you’ll be brought back. Eventually the navigation system will be fully integrated (as soon as we can get WordPress and Vbulletin to play nicely together).  We will be adding and tweaking the features over the coming months, and adding content to the various forums.

The construction process will likely last a week or two barring no unforeseen coding disasters, so I’d ask that you please bear with me while I make the changes. I will try and make them as seamless as possible, and will be doing most of the work between midnight and six so as to not interrupt everyone. Please let me know if there is a feature you’d like to see added, or if there is something broken you don’t think I’ve noticed yet so I can get it fixed up right away.

Author Resource Boxes

Author Bio

If you’ve submitted anything in the way of an article to one of the many popular article directories that are online, or perhaps have been working your way around the guest post circuit, you no doubt understand the importance of the bio box that is generally included at the bottom of each one.

If you haven’t done either of these to date, you will want to start a campaign for both, as they can bring you extra traffic, and help you build backlinks to both your website, as well as to individual pages within it, this will also give you another readership base with which to show off your topic and writing skills and if you make sure to give some of your best pieces, you will end up growing your readership as well.

The main benefit to guest posting, or submitting articles is that little box you see at the bottom of the article that tells you a little bit about the author, and perhaps his website, and will generally include a couple of links back to it so that the reader can follow the link, and complete the “introduction” and effectively “meet” this new blogger.

Here is the best way I can think of to describe the way your article should be working for you.

1.       The headline, 80% of people read the headline, 20% read the article. Use the headline to get their attention, and convince them this is an article worth reading.

2.       The article, here is where you get to discuss the topic you’ve chosen as your subject matter, keep it informative, and avoid using “filler” words just to keep your word count high, try to cram as much information as you possibly can into the words you use. This is your chance to showcase your skill as a writer.

3.       The resource box, now it’s time to try and convince this reader, that it’s in their best interest to follow that link over, and read more of what you have to say! This is an important part of the article for you, and you need to spend time building the perfect resource box in order to enjoy the benefits of all the work that went into writing the article in the first place.

4.       Your website, normally I wouldn’t include this here, but since I am an internet marketer, I will! Now that you have them over to your website, or squeeze page, it’s time to either capture their email address so you have the ability to reach out to them after they leave, or at the very least have some compelling reasons on the landing page to entice them to come back again, and hopefully become a loyal reader.

I’ve heard people mention that the resource box should only amount to about 15% of the total article, and that anything over that is excessive. I personally wouldn’t go anywhere near this high, as my resource box on a 1500 word guest post would start to approach the size of some small articles. Typically anywhere from 40 to 60 words is enough to get your point across. The best tactic is to try and get a compelling action from the reader, in as few words as possible.

Here are a few tips to get you started.

-          Don’t write about how amazing and wonderful you or your website happen to be, instead focus on the reader, and how you can help them. If you have a blog (even an amazing one) that talks about Ford Mustangs, maybe instead of asking them to visit the number one Mustang site on the web, you could instead  offer to show them how to increase their horsepower by 15% for under $100.00, or something similar. See, now you’ve not only accomplished what you wanted by getting them to visit your website, but perhaps (assuming you sell the parts) they might just invest that $100.00 into their car, thereby giving you a sale, and perhaps a customer for some time to come. You’ve also helped them, rather than promote to them which is important.

-          Rather than use a standard resource box each time to save yourself a few moments, invest the time in building one that fits the article above it. Writing resource boxes can seem like a chore in the beginning, but after you’ve made fifty or sixty, you’ll probably be quite good at it. This one step could double your click through rate, and so is most likely worth it to you. After all you’ve already gone to a lot of trouble getting this all set up, written, and submitted, go that extra step and see how it pays off.

-          Save all the resource boxes you build, and store them in a swipe file on your hard drive. If you’ve created a killer resource box that fits a certain topic of articles, and you find that you write often on that subject, use the one that’s proven itself in the past, especially if you’ve been tracking the results from each one, and know your numbers.

Just like creating the perfect title for an article can mean the difference between a glance, and a read, the perfect resource box can mean the difference between the point where they stop reading, and the point where they actually begin!
