I think It`s right, however people usually is confused because they don`t appreciate the difference between a home job and a home business. Pro bably is more confortable to work from home, but you still are working for someone else. Home business is for sure the best choice if you want to work from home, but I think it will require extra effort to achieve your goals.

The recession has resulted in many people being made redundant and even more are now seeking work. Working from home has a number of advantages, but many self employed people suffer with stress. This is because freelance work means that there is no official end to a working day. At the same time, Self employed people can write off many expenses, such as interest on mortgage payments, against their taxes.
Would love to work from home, as have a good two hour round trip to work, but too many distractions being at home.
Yes, it’s important to set aside time that is yours so you can achieve whats necessary, but I find I can accomplish alot more work in less time from home. That two hour commute could get a big chunk of my days work done if I settle in and work smart!!!
Maybe starting it out as a hobby that you devote an hour or so a day to is the best way for you to get started. You get to build your business, while keeping the security of the Job, and if the income starts rising you can reevaluate down the road.
