Working From Home vs. a Job – Pros and Cons of Self-Employment

a girl working from homeIf you ask most people what their dream working situation would entail, most would list self-employment and the ability to work from home as their top requirements. Having the ability to complete your work according to your own deadlines and specifications is a great stress-reducer, as very few people enjoy getting up in the morning to commute to an impersonal corporate cubicle. That is not a natural state, but rather one that has been constructed out of necessity. Fortunately, the rise of the internet has led to some very new and exciting home work opportunities, even for those without a computer science degree.

Pursuing your own interests is one of the biggest benefits of working from home vs. a job in an office. You will have no one to answer to but yourself, and if you have decided to make money through blogging and internet marketing, you could choose topics to write about or promote that you are actually interested in. You can work at whatever odd hours of the day or evening that you prefer, and have the rest of your time free to spend on other hobbies or with your friends and family. This freedom of choice combined with earning potential is what attracts so many people to this new lifestyle.

The real pitfall that could arise when people decide to quit their former jobs and work from home instead is that they are unsure or unmotivated. Working from home vs. a job is not a way to quit working at all, although some people will think of self-employment as a vacation. That is not going to lead to financial success. Indeed it is necessary to put just as much time and effort into your home business as the one you would commute to. This is true at first at the very least; although with the earning potential of SEO and affiliate marketing techniques, it is true that once the system is in place you can relax a bit.

Overall then, it seems that there are very few drawbacks to working from home vs. a job in an office. The skills that are required to become successful in internet marketing are ones that you can learn quickly. There are a variety of programs and seminars that can help guide you along this path, towards achieving financial freedom. Affiliate and internet marketing are simply the tools that will allow this to happen.

I think It`s right, however people usually is confused because they don`t appreciate the difference between a home job and a home business. Pro bably is more confortable to work from home, but you still are working for someone else. Home business is for sure the best choice if you want to work from home, but I think it will require extra effort to achieve your goals.
