Internet marketing is a great way for people to leave the dead end world of a JOB! One of the aspects that appeals to myself and many others is the fact that your income doesn’t come from a single source.
Personally I’d be frightened having all my eggs in one basket, even though for years I had just that, a paycheck.
I’m going to go over a few of the sources of income that you can build up in the internet marketing world, with a little bit of effort, and focus, many of these can end up being a full time income all by themselves, however I’d strongly recommend building up several so that you aren’t dependent on any one for the majority of your living. Should one dry up, it’s a simple matter to replace it with something new, without having to be fearful that you won’t be able to survive because you’ve lost your monthly “paycheck”.

Services:
The easiest way to make money online is to trade a service for money; this is also the most like a job as far as I’m concerned unless you happen to be outsourcing much of the work you’re offering. Here are a few examples of services you can offer, the list is limited only by your imagination and talent.
Remember, offering a service on your website can often be the quickest way to start earning money online.
- Web Design
- Graphic Design
- Link building and SEO
- Writing, articles, blog posts, eBooks, etc.
- Data entry
- Virtual Secretary
- Programming
- And literally hundreds or even thousands more
Email Marketing:
If you’re a regular reader of PLR Internet Marketing, then you know that I’m a true believer in building your list right from the very beginning, I’m sure you’ve all heard the phrase “the money is in the list”. Remember, even if you lost your website and every other asset you have, you would still be able to make money using the list you built up alongside all the other assets you’ve built. Every subscriber is worth an average of $10 – $12 per year. If you build your list at the rate of 10 each day, then in one year, you would have 3650 targeted subscribers in your list which equals approximately $36,500 per year in income. And this is just one of your revenue streams your building!

Products:
Selling your own product is a great source of income for you and your website, and the great thing about it is it takes only knowledge, and time to put together, but can bring you income for many years to come. Once you have your own product, you can start looking for affiliates to help you sell and promote it, and if the product is digital, even if your offering a 60% commission, you’ll be making much more than if you tried selling it yourself, with no help from other seasoned marketers.
Advertising:
Once your blog starts to generate a decent amount of traffic, you’ll notice that a decent percentage of your online income can be generated with advertising. Google AdSense alone can bring in anywhere from $50 to $2000 a month with a modestly successful website. I have websites that receive 200 visitors a day and earn $50.00 a month, and others that receive ten times that in traffic… and as you can imagine, the income is commensurate with the traffic your site receives.
Another source of advertising can come in the form of banner advertising which can be setup to run automatically with little or no intervention from you other than approving the ads that are submitted. I personally use OIO Publisher which is a great wordpress plugin that you can download here.
Paid reviews are another source of advertising income your site can receive. You can do paid reviews for products, services, or other sites in your niche to bring in some extra money.
Affiliate income:
Affiliate marketing is another favorite of mine, because I can pick and choose the best products out there to promote to my audience. I have no product to develop, the sales material is already taken care of in most instances, and there are thousands upon thousands of products or services that I can promote, creating even more streams of internet income. I have one product that I promote that pays $150.00 per sale, if I only sell one or two a month that pays all my online bills for me! And of course I don’t just promote a single product, I promote many! Remember that list your building?
Membership Area:
A great way to build up a nice recurring, residual income is to offer a membership area or site to your visitors, one of my sites is a backlink membership site where I sell membership packages, and add new sites to it on a weekly basis, the new backlink sites I keep adding are what keeps people paying the monthly fees, this can be any type of useful content that you update regularly.
Online Store:
It’s fairly simple to launch an online store filled with affiliate products. I have seen an online laptop store launched in just a few hours, that offered 30,000 different products, all of which the owner received a commission for each unit sold. He didn’t have to do anything other than promote, and drive traffic to the site, all orders, deliveries, and customer service issues were dealt with by the individual product website. An economical choice that looks professional is Shopperpress.
These are just a few of the streams of internet income, that you can start to build up within your business, or site and with a little bit of work, each one can be built up into a decent income all on its own. The best part about it is if your income is coming in from six or seven different sources, not to mention thirty, or forty different affiliate programs even if one dries up, it’s a simple matter to replace it with a new one.
