Guest Blogging – How to Bring in a New Voice

Guest bloggerThose blogs that are most likely to bring in the highest readership and make the most money are those that keep their content lively and refreshing. One way to do this is to alternate writers, and consider guest blogging as a way of changing up the tone and feel. There are a number of ways to find a guest blogger who will bring in new readers and more traffic. One way is to link your blog to other blogs out there that have the same type of theme, and create a network of links that way.

Within this network, you could establish working relationships with other bloggers by commenting on their blog posts and linking them back to your own work. This is a good idea for several reasons. Not only could this draw their readers over to your site, but it could also help you establish a new voice on their blog, which they could do in return for you by guest blogging. The brilliant part of internet marketing is that there are no real rules, so if you want to start your own monopoly with other bloggers on a specific area of subject matter, you can do so.

That way, everyone benefits from guest blogging, including the readers.  Everyone knows how tiresome it can be to conduct a search on the internet for a specific topic and then find the same information over and over again. Those blogs that make use of internet marketing techniques and allow the introduction of new viewpoints will be the most interesting to read, and can effectively tie in product placement or affiliates without it being obnoxious. It seems, then, that the best way to be a good blogger is to read other blogs for ideas as well.

Just as in the real world of business, relationships in between competitors are sometimes necessary to create the right levels of supply and demand. By using guest blogging services, you are helping create a new community that is beneficial on both a business and personal level. This is what helps keep internet marketing interesting, and helps inspire more people to start their own blogs. Many bloggers start their internet career by commenting on other people’s blogs. Just be sure that whoever you bring in to comment or write on your own blog has a voice that you trust and find interesting yourself, or no one else will either.

    Hi Warren. Great post.

I am a contributor for Business to Community (see http://www.business2community.com/author/david-christopher ) and the way it works is they decide post by post if my latest blog entry is worthy of being added to their site. If it is, then they take the HTML from my site and create a new entry on their site. They do provide a link back to my site for every post they use.

Is this approach helping or hindering my SEO?

    • Warren says:

Syndicating your content can be a great way of pulling in not only additional traffic from what is generally a higher traffic news “hub”, but also a great way to obtain some relevant backlinks as you pointed out. If you’re posting regularly on your blog I’ll assume that Google’s bot is stopping in on a regular basis. (I usually see them several times a day) You’ve likely also got your auto ping setup in WordPress letting Google know that you have new content. Google will see where the content originated don’t worry! This approach is helping your SEO efforts!

      Thanks for stopping by David!
      I appreciate your comments.

    Thanks Warren.
Just another question on syndication. I heard that google does not like duplicate content. So if the syndication group are duplicating my content for their purposes, and they receive a greater number of hits, is that detrimental to my SEO efforts on my own site?

    • Warren says:

Duplicate content that exists on two separate websites has no negative effect as far as I’m concerned. I rank 3 and 4 on the first page of Google and have for over a year now for a review that was posted for an affiliate product I promote. The review was sent to me by the product vendor and is used all across the web including on their own website (which I outrank)

Duplicate content that exists on your own site however DOES often result in a penalty which is why you should keep an eye on your webmaster tools which will often let you know about potential problems. I’ve accidentally posted the same article twice on a couple of occasions (when I have time to have them pre-written and then forget I already used it)

I can show you duplicate content on many popular websites such as problogger that rank fine, and cause no ill effects. Google simply chooses which one/s they will feature in their results and ignores the rest. Usually they are able to accurately choose the original, however not always the case.

fantastic issues altogether, you simply gained a brand new reader. What might you recommend about your publish that you just made a few days in the past? Any certain?
