Default Advertising a certain niche?

Let's just say you guys were involved in a niche that not too many people were involved in, or are involved in - how would you go about advertising it to others, who aren't too sure what the niche is all about?

Would have to believe that if people were not sure about the niche, they most likely would not bother checking......
Instead they would go to something they have been looking to find.

You need to look and see who's in the niche now, what the demographic is, and who your trying to market too, then you need to find out where those people spend their time, and get in front of them with something to attract them to your offer, freebie, etc. Then you'll be able to explain to them why it is you feel the "your product here" would benefit them, and why they should try it out, take a look at it, perhaps even buy it. (if it's that sort of product).

You need to find your specific keywords related to your niche. Don't target generalized keywords, rather those that are more specific, or longer-tail keywords to get your site noticed. Especially, if it is a highly competitive niche or industry.

Sure...
If people are looking for pet information.....they would not be likely to click on..."kalseporty"....when they could find sites with "pet" in the name....

Although any domain name can be promoted......

Oh, thanks for the explanation. What niche are you involved in, and how did you advertise?

What i would try to do is see if it somehow ties in with a larger niche. I would then visit the forums of the larger niche and start a thread asking if people have heard of the niche you are looking to get into to try and get a conversation started. You could then put a link into your signature related to your niche and you may get some interest like that.

Regards

Kim

@cpvr, are you asking how to educate new people about your niche? Ones who aren't currently aware of it?

I'd create a profile of my target customer: "Jane Average". What's she like? What about her would make her want your product? Where does she spend her time online? What are her other likely interests? Once you get an idea of your prospect's profile, target your marketing efforts in the places you'd find her. If she doesn't know about your niche, appeal to her other likely interests, and why your niche would be a great fit.
