Default Do you use alt text in your images

If you do not use alt text with your images, you could me missing out on a lot of traffic to your site. A lot of people nowadays do searches by entering their keywords and then selecting images for their search. So by having your keyword as the alt text for an image gives you a good chance of your image showing up and therefore a potential of more traffic to your site.

Also do not forget to make your image file names keyword intense.. mykeyword_subkeyword.jpg (notice to windows users - no space, lower case, uses a _ which is proper file naming) ....

Yup, it is really true that if we use alt attribute with img tag while inserting image we get a bit more traffic than usual, it is because when somebody searches for an image google sees the alt attribute value and then gives the results to the user, if your image has most relevant keyword according to user search then our site will be on 1st page !!

I rarely forget to put alt tag whenever I inset an image in my blog or site

I do, and Google images is rewarding me by sending anywhere from 50 to 200 visitors a month for the little bit of extra effort that by now has become second nature as shekdp
pointed out.

I tend to look at my traffic streams very much the same as I look at my income streams.
Anyway I can tweak or modify them to send just a little bit more....

Yes i always use the Image Alt tag because Google can't understand Images and flash. So to make images visible into the search engine eye and to aware the search engine i used the Image alt tag.
