I believe most of you have an twitter account, right ?
If you don't have it then register on, it is free

Twitter is similar to social networking site, where we can tweet, that is set status messages..

Now how can you use twitter as a marketing tool,
First step is to develop the network and try to get minimum of 100 followers, by posting some interesting stuffs and market your products..

By using twitter you can generate traffic for your website, as the twitter updates are shown on the first page of the google and that means many people will see it and click on the website that interest them.

You can use twitter as a research tool and can increase your Page rank, if you get many retweets then your page is becoming popular..

Now how to do it ?
Link your articles to the twitter and tweet them.. simple

I would other members also to contribute more.. As I'm a newbie, I was able to tell only small and simple things

I use it, but i post helpful advice, personal messages, tips, blog posts and free stuff. never products or sales pages.

btw, email opt in crap does not = valuable content contrary to what many losers online will tell you.

Yup, I agree that twitter is a social networking website, but you see many ebooks which are written with title 'twitter as marketing tool' & I want to show the point that we can use it for marketing

Well, I use it for helping people, giving tips and sharing interesting blog posts and articles that I find. Sometimes my own. however, I don't post products. I will post an article that leads to the product instead.

99% of the time use Twitter to share knowledge and giving useful tips. Using it for marketing once in a while won't look spam and it will not affect your image.

I built my twitter following based on internet marketers as followers . Now all my blog post and articles are auto-posted .

I never try to sell directly even though most of my followers are marketers .

I can get a couple hundred people to a site with a tweet . Have saw very little conversions from the traffic . The one thing that does work well is free internet marketing training .

I can usually pick up 3 new free members with tweets pointing to those types of blog post and at least that many or more from an article .

I could actually auto tweet the forum (I am sure Mary could also) but I thought that would kind of be a little too much and be seen as spam. So I just tweet the post I feel are worth wild ...

My followers are a mix of people but recently I have posted several time that I will not follow anyone without a real name on their account.

Twitter is also a marketing platform.
You provide people with helpful tips, and post your link around.
I know its been effective for us, getting the word out and establishing new relationships/

Twitter is the great marketing tool because it has great audience and page rank and this is also a good reputation website. Twitter is getting the great traffic around the world that's why people use this for marketing purpose.

I agree, and the traffic benefits alone make Twitter a no-brainer!

They are usually my third highest traffic source better even than Facebook. (for me at least)

You should have lots of followers in twiter and then you can market your product by tweeting lot with your link

Twitter and Facebook are essential tools. Twitter is best used to put up promotions your company may be having, announce new blog posts, share affiliate links and much more.... I absolutely love Twitter for this reason and it brings me lots of business for sure!
