Default Wordpress versus HTML
I switched from HTML to WORDPRESS with some of my sites and I am not impressed with the speed at all.. maybe its just me... - can someone please click my signature links and report back your speed impression?

I have High Speed Turbo and I gave up after 10 sec when your site still did not load...

I would highly suggest the following

* Use a theme that does not load a huge amount of images, ajax, and make constant connections to the db.

* Use only the plugins you "NEED" notice I did not say the word want..

* Make sure all images are set high quality but at about 90% instead of 100% (makes a huge difference).

* Do not make full post on the main page use the page break, your post should only be a paragraph or so long and then a page break.

* Limit your post on the main page to maybe 10 post and then have the "show more" links.

Edited: Ok went back and let them load... Interesting - Like to make a trade / barter ? I give you a free copy of http://www.wordpresssecured.com - You give me 2 links in your footer on each site (one link for my forum and the 2nd link for ArticleProductions.com) What you think, let me know..

Somtimes there are browser issues. I used to do most of my WP-admin in Firefox. Lately though I do all my Wp-Admin work in IE and have less problems and faster access time.
