Marketers Space Forum new credit system
Hi guys,
I promised I'd post a thread about the new credit system I've installed on the forum, so I want your opinions or input if you don't mind.
There are actually two different types of credits you can get and use in this forum. One type that you have to purchase is for the Auction. It will cost 15 credits to post your ad there. These credits work seperately from the ones you see below your login info above the red Navbr to the right hand side.
Here are the rates to puchase and how many credits you get for each price:
$1 = 1 credit
$5 = 5 credits
$10 = 12 credits
$20 = 25 credits
So, you get more if you buy in bulk instead of 1 or 5 at a time.
If you want a featured ad, it will cost 20 credits
You can visit the Auction forum for more information about it.
Now I think it's a fair deal. We get enough to run the server and continue the forum and auction, and you guys get a place to auction stuff off, and advertisment.
I think this credit system is fine for now, don't you?
I think it's a matter of getting traffic, users, and buying visitors for it to do well.
To help with that, there is the other credit system. What happens with it is that you get a specific amount of credits in your account for posting threads and posts, and referring people to the forum.
What you as registered users can use them for is to purchase some products, ad spots, auction spots, and to get into paid sections of the forum. Some of the credits like for referals may even be redeemable for cash, but I'm not sure about the cash part yet.
The way I see it is, this system may help draw traffic and registered users. It's basic in the forum as insentive for people to take action.
Do you guys think it will be beneficial to the forum and its members to keep a credit system like this in place?
If you think it is, what else might you do with this credit system that will benefit everyone?
Also, do you think that only the founding members should be a part of this credit system, or be allowed to purchase things?
Any feedback you are willing to share would be appreciate.
Right now, and I'm sure Jason agrees woth me, I think it's important to pull the founding members in to our decision making process, so this is where and how you can be a part of the making of this forum.
For instance, if you want to see it head in a specific direction, post your thoughts, and we'll take them into consideration.
Thanks ...
Admin
