I've been in to online marketing for quite sometime now but the most difficult part I have come across is to get referrals to join an affiliate program under me. I can understand if the affiliate program is a 'paid to' then there may not be people willing to join but getting people to join free programs is also increasing difficult.

So what do you guys suggest are the best or most effective methods of online marketing to get referrals? Basically I'm in such a position that I may just try any method that's thrown in front of me.

I know most Internet Marketers think of "teired" programs as MLM, and don't want to waste their time with it because it pays very little if you are not in the lead.

Much of the reason for the above came from all the Pnzi schemes in earlier years, and the changes in policies the payment processors made (like PayPal) here in the past couple of years. And no, I'm not saying MLM is a bad thing. IT's simply that things have changed lately that make it tougher and worth people's time.

The best way to get people to sign up under you is to use something like offline marketing methods such as newspapers, magazines, flyers, etc ... Use PPC for online. The main thing is hitting your target audience, and the biggest market is the new people - people who do not know anything about MLM or tiered programs but want to start in an online business.

The MLM situation boils down to numbers.....lots of numbers.......get them and look for a yes........many nos.... but there are some yes's
