Default Amazon affiliate question

Hi Everyone,

I'm a little puzzled about something. I happened to write a pretty good article that's on EZA. It's been live for 14 days and it's had 964 views and I'm getting about 15% CTR on my resource box. The resource box sends the reader to a landing page.

The landing page is where my Amazon links are. Since I've had my article live and had the landing page I've had about 120 clicks on my Amazon links.

This sounds all pretty good..... but no sales yet.

Does this sound unusual or am I just being impatient? I have a feeling it's just a matter of time.

BTW, the product is a new camera that's out, about $325.

Any thoughts

JB

Hey JB,

You might be impatient some. If you get down to it, the number of click thrus you are getting isn't a very high amount. It's getting there though, but with these types of products, people tend to look at them 3-5 times before buying. I would say especialy now with this economy too.

Another thing to think about is ... did you cloak you affiliate links? If not, you might want to invest in an app that will do that for you. They aren't that expensive.

The reason I'm saying that is because people will redirect your sales or hijack your links to get your commissions. What they do is replace your ID with theirs. This happens quite a bit with Amazon and ClickBank especially.

Just a thought ...

Never-mind everyone. Yesterday I made my first Amazon sale! My commission is listed at 3.45%, it comes out to a whopping $9 which is not what's important to me.

It feels just like my first affiliate product sale, what I mean by that is after you get your first sale it re-affirms that this really does work.

It's easy to put in some amount of effort and lose interest because it seems the first sale will never come (this is true for me anyway).

BTW, my article views for my 17 day old article is at 1,300. I'm not bragging but I can't help to be a little proud of that.

WTG Hason!

Now just keep the juice going, and you'll see lots of sales.

Btw, I'd be proud of that article too.
