How to Ensure Your Product/Service/Offer Is the Best It Can Be, Presented the Best Way It Can Be" for a good reason. That's because this is what every Internet Marketer or general marketer strives for, and he knew that everyone and their mother would want to know how to do just that!
Just to give you a short brief, I ran across this old ebook (Copyrighted in 1989) on one of Allen Says's old sites that was dated 2002, and yet I find the same strategies are primary Marketing strategies that I use every day in Internet Marketing.
This guy was a genius way back when, and it's no wonder he's one of the top Marketers in the contry. I know he also played a huge part in Internet Marketing, basically helping to bridge offline marketing strategies with the Internet and how we do things today.
If you ever get a chance to read his old stuff, do so. It may very well change your life, by helping you change the way you run your Internet Business. For that matter, read all of the old marketing books you can get your hands on! And if you have enough money to buy some of Kennedy's products, or to go to some of his seminares, do it!
I know if I ran across this ebook when I first started, a could have saved 0 years of doing things by trial and error. It's as simple as that.
Here are a couple of these Marketering Strategies you can apply to your offline or online Business:
1) "Attack on a narrow front" - meaning, when it comes to competition, look for a narrow-focus aspect of business to attack rather then go head to head with every product or service offered by the competition."
In other words, instead of being so "general" with everything, narrow your business, service, or offer down to one thing your company or product does great at compared to the competition.
You can still get into those staurated markets that way if you only offer a specific, instead of shooting for the whole enchilada!
Think about this one, why do you think marketers tell people to shoot for a micro niche instead of a more general niche? Here's an example - intead of a site built specifically for shoes, try building a site around a specific type of shoe like running shoes etc ...
The same can be saide in offline services or Online services - narrow down to a specific service you and your company know a lot about, and have the gifts for it. Make it a specialized business!
2) "Chose a name that makes a positive contribution to the marketing process" - Chose a name and domain that is easily marketed. Kennedy says to communicate what your business, product, offer, or service is or what it does. It doesn't get any plainer than that one, but yet I still see names of companies and domains that don't relat to what the company is doing or what it is.
You know, I was asked a few times how I came up with the name of this forum (Marketers Space Forum). There was this one person who couldn't grasp the concept, and tried to tell me it has nothing to do with your forum. I says to him, "Oh quite contrar. It says everything about what this forum is about." This is simply a place for Marketers to gather, hence the title "Markaters Space" lol. Not too hard to figure out.
Anyway, you get my point.
There are tons more in this ebook, but Iam not going to post Dan's entire ebook, besides, it will take way too long to type out. It's 87 or 88 pages worth of solid stuff.
I will however, offer it to Chater Members in their private forum.
If you know of some solid Marketing strategies that are still working in todays market, by all means post them here, or if you want to comment on what's written already, feel free.
Our primary goal is to help people learn about marketing so they can get right to work on their business.
