Did you guys know you can sell your photos to stock photo places to make money?

I know this one site that every photo cost $95, and that's for the smallest size. It gets higher as you request the larger sizes. The best part about it is that these types of sites do all the marketing for you, plus they supply the traffic. Can't beat that!

I know one guy that started taking simple pictures and selling them on 4 different sites a tear ago. He now makes over 7K per month with these sites alone, and pulls in an extra 15K taking pictures by request. He simply did some marketing on his own with a free blogger blog.

Lol The funny thing about it is that he had no prior knowledge about how to use a camera or what a good picture looked like. He just started taking pictures, and hit the shadow just right in this one photo. He uploaded it to a stock photo site and someone local saw it, and called him to come out and take pictures. Once he found out that at least one person was willing to pay a hefty fee in his area, he put up a free blog, and that's all she wrote.

Some marketing huh?

That's 22K per month he makes, and he said he only spends about 3 hrs 5 days per week doing this stuff.

People say they have problems making money, but the real problem is that they eaither can't take action, they have no faith in themselves, or they simple can't think for themselves.

I am surprised that anyone would pay those prices for stock images. There are so many good sources for free/cheap stock images, why would you pay $95+ for something that you could get for much cheaper?

I don't know. What I do know is that some people would pay whatever when they find something they can use or like. In this case, it could be quality of photos.

I'd say if someone's willing to pay big bucks for an image it's worth it (to them). I don't have the budget for it but if you're in the business of selling images and someone's willing to pay, then you've got a profitable business.

I have to agree about people being their own worst enemy by not believing in themselves and not putting in the effort to make money.

I know the feeling too well myself, the fear I've often had was that I'd put a bunch of effort and time into something that would never make money, no matter how well I executed. I'm slowly starting to see that a little bit of research, with effort will result in at least some success.

Along with that you'll learn more in the process than you would spending tons of time and money trying to find that perfect method. The fact is they all can (will) fail if you don't take action and don't put a little faith in yourself.
