Is there anyway to supplement my income? I had to face a paycut owing to the current economic crisis. So I am on the lookout for some proven business which will guarantee returns.

Hi Michael,

First, welcome to the Forum!

Secondly, to answer your question, yes, you can suppliment your income by setting up a business online.

The best way to move forward is to assess your skills and interests. For instance what do you know how to do? Can you write well? Can you design websites? Can you follow simple directions, etc ...?

If you don't have any skills that you can think of, try some things out, but first I would encourage you to gravitate toward things you like or are pasionate about. You can learn things as you go, but it will be slow earning.

Many people believe you have to have money to make money online, and that simply isn't so. You may need about $50 - $100 start up capital, and not even that if you can gain the knowledge to sell affiliate products offline.

If you want, I can speak with you on Skype so we can figure some things out quickly. The only thing is, my time is limited from now thru July 5. I am moving here July 1, so we will have to talk quickly.

In the meantime, try going thru the forum threads and read them - particularly the "How to make money online" and "affiliate maketing" threads. You can get an idea of what you can get into that way.

It's possible for anyone to make money online as long as they have access to an Internet connection. Anyone can do that by using computers at public libraries, friends home that has one, etc ...

It cost very little capital to get started even if you have to supply your own Internet connection. It simply takes knowledge, will, and a couple of simple things like a $4-$6 hosting account - And you don't even need one. You can use Blogger blogs and still make good commissions selling affiliate products. Blogger blogs are free, and anyone can get an account to put up a blog.

To me, it doesn't matter if you are a poor farmer or whatever. There are opportunities for every walk of life out there as long as they are willing to do what it takes to get there.
