$20 bucks for a Ebay Method on Marketing PLR!!
The $20 offer has already been awarded (Thanks Jeffery), although any additional information will be greatly appreciated by everyone.
Hey everyone,
I just want to feel everybody out on something..... How many of you use Ebay for selling your PLR products?? I have some PLR vidoes that I can market on Ebay and I've taken a look at some like products being sold.
Looks like there are several people making good money selling video products (IM'ing educational vids).
Any input on marketing these vids on Ebay? Like you probably know...Ebay doesn't allow digital products anymore so you have to deliver a physical product.
Any "Best Practices" you guys have to share when it comes to marketing vids on CD's? I know I've read that you want to make your CD's auto open when loaded, give your customer a professional looking package, etc....
Anybody have any knowledge to share with our community? It looks like this is an opportunity for those who have PLR products to sell.
If someone has some valuable direction / methods to share I'll paypal $20 to the first person to post a proven method.
If your the first person to post this (as longs as it doesn't promote a product)
I'll paypal you $20.
I'll be honest, I'm looking for some input on this also. I think Ebay's still a channel for making some money.
Thanks,
Jason Bolte

Re: $20 bucks for a Ebay Method on Marketing PLR!!
As you said, no digital products. Personally, I prefer USB Sticks instead of CDs because it is cheaper and much easier to work with the sticks. Could give customers an option or even both. Creating an autorun CD/DVD/Stick is very, very easy. Cost to produce is minimal. Produce on your own home computer or outsource to an online delivery service.
Delivery via U.S. Mail. There is the refund problem when delivery is via Mail. PayPal requires a signature of the receipient for proof of delivery. FedEx works, but adds to your overhead. In any event the delivery is part of the overhead, so you have to find a balance. The bottom line is refunds are usually minimal.
Here is the sweet part.. On the medium (CD/DVD/Stick) include a offer to receive an upsale. The upsale may be additional ebooks, software, etc.. The buyer logs into a (your) membership site confirming receipt of the original medium. Buyer login information is the original eBay Users ID and Invoice Number which is unique to the eBay Buyer. Now you have confirmation of receipt in the even you need it for PayPal Refunds! Once the buyer is a member you have the potential to create a repeat customer and continue your marketing.

Re: $20 bucks for a Ebay Method on Marketing PLR!!
Forgot to mention that if the medium is created in HTML (nothing too fancy) it will work in any browser. When the medium autoruns it will open the buyer's default browser being the buyer's preferred browser. A better idea is to offer a Private Browser in the membership site. Configure it to display your own Ads, Popups, Embedded Download Tools, etc.
If you really want to get perky create a P2P Browser wherein users may access your Private Internet Network (PIN)! You need specialty software to run a PIN. The perk is once someone joins your PIN the buyer has access to private offers only available in the PIN. Think Herd Marketing. Where do you bed down the herd at night? In the Pen.. PIN

Re: $20 bucks for a Ebay Method on Marketing PLR!!
Hey Jeffery,
Dang, it's been a long time sinse I laid eyes on you. Good to see you and welcome to the forum!
Jeffery, I'd like you to meet Jason. He's partnered with me on this forum. Remember that article directory (The Content Corner) I had? He's the one that bought it, and he's getting ready to do remarkable things with it too.
Anyway JB,
Jeffery is a good friend, and is giving you some great advise about how to sell your physical products, get what you need from the customer, and get them coming back for more.
Seriously, it's a good plan.
Mary

Re: $20 bucks for a Ebay Method on Marketing PLR!!
Hey Jeffrey,
It's nice to meet you as well, and yes I have a ton of respect for Mary. She's treated me well.
I've been at IM'ing for less than a year and have some long term goals for it.
Like most newbie's I'm managing a off-line job plus family, etc, etc. I look at this as a long term investment for my (my families) future.
BTW I sent you a PM, If you don't mind I have some more questons about Ebay marketing.
Also I'd personally love it if you would bless us with some more insight and some more great posts. I'm excited about the future of MSF. I gotta good vib, I think we could get get a great community started that could benefit all of us.
Anyway, Thanks Jeffrey your posts and knowledge is always welcome and appreciated.
JB

Karsten,
Lol you are something.
I appreciate the thought, and can use it for the server you you happen to get the $20. Either that, or I can use it to put you thru the paces.
Hey JB,
That's a really good resource Karsten gave you. I know a few people that use it.
It isn't about how to sell on eBay, but it does set you up with something for what Jeffery was talking about with physical products.
Hey Jeffery,
Congrats!
That was a good post!
Mary

Re: $20 bucks for a Ebay Method on Marketing PLR!!
I sold lots of stuff years ago before they start overcomplicating things
1. Ebay is perfect for testing the market - if you cant sell it on ebay it cant be sold after all! (maybe)
2. I found the best items on ebay.com and sold it on ebay.de - I even can give you an example here: there are these nice spy listening gadgets called spywhatsover (I love gadgets) I bought hundreds of them in the states since I couldnt get hold of the original seller located somewhere in china. One item including shipping to germany was 1,50 Dollar and I got up to 15 Euro in Germany! They were small and easy to ship (I just put them into an air-envelope put a stamp on and threw them into a mailbox) No signing necessary - if somebody complained that he didnt receive his package (yes there are also scumbags in germany ) I just sent him another one for free
3. You have to do some testing yourself - some categories are working better than others
4. Look what others are selling - dont reinvent the wheel...
5. use automation

Re: $20 bucks for a Ebay Method on Marketing PLR!!
Karstan,
Great post. It's cool to see great case studies showing success. Do you have any pointers or advise for people looking for products or resources to get products? That's one of the main questions I hear from people wanting to get into ebay marketing.
How did / do you find your gadgets to market on-line? I know I've bought some lots of items on ebay (poker button timers) and have resold them on Ebay for a small profit.
That's an important point. You make your money when you buy your products to sell. Don't you agree?
Anyway thanks for the great info Karstan, I think lots of people are getting some great information from your posts, including me
Thanks,
Jason

Re: $20 bucks for a Ebay Method on Marketing PLR!!
Hi JB,
The best places to get bulk items from for cheaper prices is to go wholesale. Find some of the wholesale companies and warehouses. There are plenty out there. Matter of fact, you can probably Google for the info, or if you know some other marketers, they may know the better ones.
Just a thought ...

Re: $20 bucks for a Ebay Method on Marketing PLR!!
Karsten,
Thanks for the great information!! It sounds like you have done a fair bit of Ebaying!! Thanks for the great links to the ebooks as well. DO you still Ebay now or do you focus on other IM'ing methods? Just curious...
You got me curious...how many lamps did you sell?

Re: $20 bucks for a Ebay Method on Marketing PLR!!
Hi Jason,i wished i knew about it.I have been also looking for how to make money there at ebay. Many people are making good money there. But with stringent rules since past few months it's perhaps not so easy. The established people there continue to grow. However with your post i will make a renewed effort to research something substantial there.

Re: $20 bucks for a Ebay Method on Marketing PLR!!
Aryaman2008,
Good luck with you giving it a go on Ebay. I've considered giving it a shot by buying some products from wholesalers but have not got to the point of pulling the trigger.
By all means give us you progress report if you decide to take a stab at it.
Good Luck,
Jason
