I think we can all agree that times are tough for real estate agents right now. Despite record-low interest rates, home sales are still down. So a lot of Real Estate Folks are looking for ways to make extra money. I had get about 200 visitors to my website each week. Most of the people who visit my site are doing some form of real estate research; a 50 % of them will actually contact me for help. But, Its not bad. In truth, there are plenty of things I could be doing to earn extra money from my website.

Very true. I think you're in a good position if your competitive in this niche. Sooner or later real estate will come back around. It's cyclical like any other business.

Hey newbyiiir,

Yes, you could get into it very easily. It's just like getting into any other niche. Here goes a simple way to get into, and make money in, that market:

You figure out what you want to do as far as selling or whatever goes, find the best keywords that fit, build a site or blog and fill it with original content based on those keywords, place ads for the products on the site or blog, and run traffic to that site or blog.

You might also want to get an autoresponder, put up a subscription form and start a newsletter about that subject so you can collect subscribers. Once you get a good "list" of subscribers, you should be able to sell more products to make more profit.

I don't want it to look like all the spam stuff. I would just like to network with local people to see if we can help each other with what we do. I do Mortgage Loans and I would like to hook-up with maybe a Real Estate Agent to pre-qualify their clients. Or maybe a banker that some loans don't meet their guidelines and I can help their client. Then maybe I can send them some of my business.

I moved to a different area (I live in spain) and before the crash you could easily tell from the amount of agencies here (basically like starbucks on every corner) that this was a huge market! My landlady who happens also to be the donald trump of this area told me that she sold lots of houses from her really shitty looking website getting a measly 15-20 visitors a day or so...

I agree once again with JB here - at one point the market will pick up again - it cant hurt to be present with a nice website in case this is going to happen!
