Default Direct your readers straight to the affiliate page?

Hey everyone,

I've heard of many article marketers sending their article readers straight to their affiliate products page rather than a landing page or there own website via a redirect, etc.

Do any of you guys and gals do this, or is this a nontraditional way of doing affiliate marketing? Would this method convert less in the long run, than sending them to your website or landing page, offer a free ebook and then capture their email to build a list to market to?

I'm not speaking from experience but I'd think building a list is the way to go?? Am I correct in my assumption

JB

Hi Jb,

Yeah, I set up redirects for each product where the person clicks my URL, they are redirected to the original sales page. I use landing pages if I want to build a list of subscribers about that particular subject though.

Personally, I believe I get better click thru rates using the redirects.

It depends on what you're looking for. If you want to get leads for your business, it's always best to send them directly to your lead capture page. Otherwise you won't get the email info you need.

If you're just looking for sales, redirect them to your original sales page.
