anybody had success here using datafeeds....

Hi Karsten,

What kind of datafeeds are you wanting to know about? Do you mean your own site datafeeds, or are you wanting to know more about affiliate datafeeds. Plus there are different language datefeeds as well like RSS or xml, php, html, and others.

In general, I've had great success with most types of datafeeds. But I've cut back on displaying them on sites anymore since Google doesn't care for them much. Now I use a mixture of feeds and original content except for these forums I have.

I also have the datafeeds for my own sites, blogs and forums that I submit to the directories. That works real well for traffic and such.

I was talking about affiliate datafeeds in particular
are they still getting indexed - do you still have success using them with blogs etc etc etc

Hi Karsten,

Yeah, I still use them, and have fairly good success with them. The trick is to use them wisely. I wouldn't recomend feeds being the only thing on your site as I mentioned above. Post original content and lots of it, and use the feeds in a way that is secondary to your site or blog.

I totally agree with Karsten here. People visit your blogs and sites for original information and not just to be hooked up with information that is found in a lot of other places. If you want to keep your traffic, you want to use datafeeds sparingly for sure, if at all in my opinion. Good advice there Karsten!

It's so tempting to use an RSS feed to add content to your site or blog, but it's really all just duplicate content. If you do use it, I'd recommend doing it very sparingly.

Seriously though, there's been some good advice posted for you. I think you just don't care to see it in print, and apply it lol.
