Default Radio blog on using facebook to promote your business

Hi everyone,

I thought others might find this useful. I just listened to a good interview with tips on how to promote your business using facebook. Here's the link:

http://blogtalk.vo.llnwd.net/o23/shows/show_144288.mp3

BTW I'm not in anyway associated with this, I wanted to know how I could use my facebook account to help promote my website, this came up in google, it's worth a listen if your looking for info on this. Nothing earth shaking but it has some good info.

Check it out if you'd like.

Jason

The problem I am having with marketing on facebook is the overcommercialization. It happens with nearly every site that becomes popular, and Facebook is as popular as it comes. But as everyone has and is still jumping on the facebook bandwagon, users get desensitized to it. Applications were great for marketing when they first came out. Now there are so many applications, I reject nearly all requests, especially commercial ones.

Thanks for the link! I think that Facebook is a great way to get your name out there. You can create a fan or group page and the more fans and members you have, the more people are exposed to your product. I know you can not create a friend page if you are a business, but fans and groups are posted just as easily. I agree with aheis that it is becoming bogged down on Facebook though, so you really have to kick it up a notch to be noticed.

Since I have been playing Mafia Wars on Facebook, my friend list has really taken off. I was hoping that I might be able to use all of these contacts for promotional purposes eventually.
