Default Squidoo & EZA

I've heard that building backlinks to your EZA articles can really be a good idea, but I always had the idea that "why build links to someone else's money page?" I found something that doesn't take much time but seems to work quite well. I have used this on articles that are older as well as articles that I just put up and it seems to work well for both.

I take 3-5 articles on the same subject and create a Squidoo lens on the general topic. I write a couple of sentences for the intro - I don't take much time with this step.

Then I copy out the first third of an EZA article and paste it in a text module. At the end of the sippet, I place a line that says "to continue reading this article, click here..." which takes the person to my EZA page. I have 3-5 text modules which are just like this.

Then, between modules, I use the sticky note and blackboard functions to give links to my money site. This way, I'm still getting links back to my own site even though I'm also giving links to EZA.

I have found that this increases the rankings of my EZA articles. I'm not optimizing the lenses to get traffic, I'm simply trying to give my articles some juice and it seems to be working. I'm also aware that these aren't the "prettiest" lenses. Again, I'm going for link juice and not traffic Here are two examples:

It really only takes about 10 minutes to create lenses like this if you know how to build a basic Squidoo site. For me, that's worth the time in order to move the articles up on the SERPs.

Hi Stacy,

That's an excellent way to get link juice! I know I use squido and a couple of other pages like HUBs, etc ... too.

I think a lot of people think 1 dimentional in a way. For instance, they write articles and simply submit them to directories, then wonder why they don't get too many people buying from them or much traffic. The truth is, I don't know many people that will got through an AD site to find a product to buy, or for a site. They do a seach in the search engines to find what the need.

Article directories are only half the requirement to get good sales. Sometimes peoples aticles land of the first pages of the SEs, but many times they don't. This is why the extra link juice is important.

Good post kid!

Stacy,

I see that strategy at my article directory the content corner Off and on. I check peoples bio links and often I get directed to the same article at EZA. I read a post at the WF on this strategy as well.

Seems the more you can intertwine (sorry that's probably not a word) your web presence the better off you are. Expecially if you direct it back to something that is more likely to end up high in the SE's.

This is definetly a strategy people need to consider, especially considering how easy this strategy is.

Thanks for the great post Stacy

Jason
