We added adsense to the forum a few minutes ago. We are still tweaking the ads and placements, so if you notice some wierd stuff going on, please have some patience.

In the mean time though, I'd like to know your thoughts about having Google adsense ads in the forum.

Here are somethings to think about:

Do you guys like the ads? Do you dislike the ads in the forum? Do you like or dislike the placements? Do the ads make the forum look too spammy?

Now I mentioned that I was looking for a Mod that will allow us to share the adsense revenue with all the members here. The truth is, I haven't found a Mod that will do that yet, so I've settled with this one until I find one. Yes, I am still hunting one down.

Anything that is earned with the ads now goes directly into the server, and the monthly cash rewards.

I know that there is at least one Mod that offers Adsense profit sharing because Shawn from DP has one set up in his forum. I just can't find the sucker yet.

Btw, if anyone knows what that Mod may be, or can find it, by all means post the name and link of the Mod in this thread.

IMHO they are just fine. I think they're tastefully placed and they seem to blend in nicely.

Just my two cents though.

They're actually quite unobtrusive. I had to look to find them!

I don't have any problem with adsense on the site, even if it is more prominent.

I hate it when marketers say they hate to be marketed to!

How about the rest of you? Do you have any feedback about the ads or their placement? Do they make the forum look trashy? Or did you notice a speed difference in the performance of the forum while surfing the forum?

They're okie dokie with me.

As far as I'm concerned, a forum owner is allowed to run and monetize the forum any way they see fit as long as it doesn't break any Internet laws, rules, regulations or whatever.

I don't judge.

The placement is fine. I didn't even notice them until they were pointed out.

Of course I wouldn't notice a riot on my street corner unless somebody stood out there with a bull horn screaming "Steve Wagenheim there is a riot on your street corner...Please lock up the silverware and the farm animals...thank you."

I'm pretty oblivious most of the time.
