Post your ideas to make money online
Every Internet Marketing forum has threads asking questions like:
How do I make money online quickly?
Or How can I make money in Internet Marketing?
To help people who are struggling, Im posting this thread so everyone that has a question similar to the two above, can come to the one thread to find something useful.
If you have a strategy, please post it so we can all benefit.
Here's a simple way for people to start making money fairly quickly:
Making money online is relatively easy, but most methods aren’t very fast. If you want to make money fast, you’ll need to get a little more creative. Options like SEO and blogging aren’t going to be viable, because they generally take awhile before the results start to take root.
One of the best ways to make money quickly is by using pay-per-click marketing. You can use Google AdWords and other PPC networks to quickly get traffic going to your offers.
This traffic can be purchased fairly inexpensively if you’re careful with the keywords you select. This method can end up costing you a lot of money before you perfect it, though, so you’ll probably want to invest in some training before you decide to go this route.
If you’re short of start-up funds, you may want to try article marketing. This is a great way to make quick cash, because it doesn’t cost you anything but time. You may also need a domain and hosting, or you could link to something like a free Blogger blog or Squidoo lens.
The way article marketing works is simple - you write an article about a particular topic and submit it to high-traffic article directories like EzineArticle.com and Buzzle.com. In exchange for giving them content to place on their site to attract search engines, you get to place your own links in your bio box at the end of each article.
This box can contain a link to your squeeze page where you promote affiliate products or a link back to a site where you sell as a product owner. Many directories will allow you to put your affiliate links in this box, but a few won’t. In this case, you can instead link to a Squidoo lens, a blog, or any other page you own where you feature your affiliate links.
Article marketing probably isn’t likely to make you wealthy overnight, but it’s very useful for making money quickly in a pinch. If you’re just getting started in Internet marketing and don’t have a lot of money to invest, it’s a very good way to get going.

Re: Post your ideas to make money online
Article Marketing - I think you are right, it can be a great way to make some money online quickly. If you are looking for a very basic (and I do mean basic) method of doing Article Marketing - I just recently answered this question - Internet Article Marketing To Promote Your Online Business. It may help you out a bit.
I think one of the best ways of making money online is by creating a community in an area of interest to you - and then (and only after you have it well established) find a way to monetize the site. Community means you have a trusted relationship of followers that are seeking your advice. Be true to them and they will be true to you!
Create your own product - it isn't as hard as it sounds. Find a niche that you know something about - or you know someone who knows about it. Put together a free conference call and do a quick interview. Take the recorded product, get it transcribed, sell the audio and pdf version of it all - and sell it online to your niche. Quick way of making an online product to sell.

Re: Post your ideas to make money online
Here's another Make money idea for those who are interested:
Marketers often tell people that membership sites are easy to set up and make a profit from. What they don't tell you is that membership sites can be difficult to maintain every month, particularly if the membership is product based.
Why are they so difficult?
For starters, you either have to write or program your own products, or outsourve them, so you are basically wasting time, or spending a lot of money. Most of the time the energy or time, and the money doesn't pay off in the end unless you have a large number of people signing up for your membership.
Another thing to consider is the cancelations. I know a number of memberships failed within the first year because they used PLR products they got from other membership sites. This means that the content, software, or scripts are already widely available to most marketers. There is this incest thing going on in the make money niche or Internet Marketing, so there is a lesser chance to make money or good money from something like this.
The best memberships to make money from in my opinion are services and niches. Everyone needs or uses specific services. Plus if you can get outside people into the membership that have no idea about marketing and what not, you are most likely to succeed.
Why outside people?
That's simple. These people aren't running around in the circles you and I would be running around in. In other words, they aren't tainted with this incest thing. These people are basically new to the internet, or new to making money.
Think about it.
All the best ...
Mary

Re: Post your ideas to make money online
Hey Mary,
LOL, I like how you use "incest" to describe the use, reuse, recycling, and repackaging of the same information, reports, eBooks, methods, etc.
It's also a good analogy for what can happen to the products that have been redone, rewritten, changed slightly , over and over again - you can get something that might have lost it's original message or value and end up with something that "aint' quite right" - kinda like those cousins that got married and...well....
LOL I love analogies.
Anyway, since this post was about making a quick buck online.. Here's my small contribution to the post...
We use the leverage power of the internet to make money, the internet gives us access to all the people we can funnel our way or we can utilize the tools already established by others.... From time to time I....
1.Go to Craigslist look for products (in your city) that people are selling in order to make a quick buck, I like electronics because there small, etc (iPods are hot, video games, etc). Picking something you're familiar with would be a good place to start.
2.Once I see a potential product, I hop on over to EBay, log in, and bring up the products with the "Completed Listings" box checked over in the left hand side. This will bring up the listings for that product that have sold. This gives you a pretty safe estimate of what you could expect if you sold that item.
***You need to utilize some "Best Practices" meaning use methods on EBay that are proven to work***
I like to contrast the highest priced sell prices vs. the lower ones and see what is different ie....auction length, auction close Time, use of pics, shipping cost, etc. (don't forget about the ebay fees)
3. Once you've established what the product will likely bring on EBay, contact the craigslist seller and (this is where you grow your profit margin) find out what is the bottom line price you can buy for if you pick up the item. Keeping in mind the expected sale price on EBay.
4. Get the product and sell it on EBay for a tidy little profit.
Of course use caution when using craigslist, use your own due diligence. I chose to meet people in a public place (McDonalds, Wal-Mart, etc) Just use some common sense.
This isn't anything mind blowing or new (there's that incest thing again) but I've made some extra spending money if I see something that is obviously not priced right. With a streamline process I could see someone making a $100 - $500 / month with a little practice and persistence.
Well that's my 2 cents.
Take care,
Jason Bolte

Re: Post your ideas to make money online
Hey Jason,
Good solid post kid! Yeah, I like analogies too.
Hey Will,
I am glad you brought this up. I must have missed this post.
I was just going to write another make money post about creating communities. I think I'll do it below though.
Good post, and this type of thing has a ton of potential.

Re: Post your ideas to make money online
One of the more lucrative ways to make money online is to create online communites as Will mentioned above.
I know I started many forums, and small communites online since 1999, and can say that I've made more money from this method then any other thing I've done online. The truth is, I have a few products out, sold many affiliate products, and made good money ... but nothing comes close to what I've made with and in the communites I've built or been a part of.
People in general seek to be a part of something. The only thing we have to do is figure out what their interests are, build an online community around it, and let them know. It's that simple.
One of the best softwares I found for building communities is VBulletin. And just think, this is my first VBulletin forum. But I can say that I've had the pleasure to be a part of many, and to be a Mod on a few too, so I've seen the backend of these boards.
I know since Jason and I put this forum together, I've learned more about the potential of VBulletin, and the plugins or Mods for them. Yes, they cost a little more in the long run, but are well worth it in the end. If you every put one up, and get it going real well then decide to sell it, you can bring in much more money fro one of these forums then any other forum software out there.
Which brings me to my main reason for posting here.
There are at least two major ways to make money with forums or online communities.
1) Look for a specific niche that people are interested in. Build the communitie up, and get people to contirbute so you build content. Build actual relationships with the people who join your community - then you can sell them all kinds of stuff, including services.
You give to them first, and I guarrentee they will give back 10 times fold!
2) The second way to make money with online communities is to build one up just like you would do for #1. This means get everyone involved, get them to contribute, build trust, etc .. Once you get it going, and people contributing, forums have a way of taking on a new life.
Once that happens, you can either hang on to it for a year or so, or sell it. Flipping sites, blogs, and online communities has broought in a ton of money for me in the past year or so. Forums are particularly high priced, and sell quickly depending on the size, and how active they are.
Anyway, like I mentioned earlier, get VBulletin if you plan on building something solid that will last. Most of the Mods or plugins are free. Yes, they are a little expensive but you'll make beack every penny you invest in, and then some in the end.

Re: Post your ideas to make money online
This is the way I began to make money with the very first service I offered:
I started out networking with other marketers to get to know people, and build up my contacts. Then I had to find out what the special points are for the service like what sets my service apart from other services in the same market.
My very first service was a online postcard service where people could send postcards to subscribers for various occasions. Most people including myself used these postcards as invitations to view sites, products, TV broadcasts, and videos, so they served with a double edge because they also brought in traffic.
Here are the steps I took to earn over $1000 per week:
I networked in about 3 different Marketing Forums like this one and the Warrior Forum for a month or so. At the time, I was only earning about $50 a day, but then got to know people and a little about how Internet Marketing worked. I used to be in affiliate marketing, but ended up taking a break for a couple of years, so when I came back online, things were different. Networking and getting into IM helped me to catch up.
After visiting the forums for a while (which is where you can get a ton of ideas from), I saw that there was a need for good service like a postcard service that offered different things than a simple autoresponder was able to offer – things like the ability to add streaming video to an actual email. After saying this, please remember this was a few years ago before sending videos and stuff was available.
I went out and found a script that allowed me to provide a way to mail postcards. The script came with about 4 different postcards in all, plus autoresponder ability so people could sign up for an account that delivered X amount of postcard broadcasts per week or month (at a certain prices). This was a subscription based service back when there were very few out there.
Once I had everything up and running well, I created a website or semi sales page that offered the service, the special features of the service, the benefits and example of how they could be used.
Then I contacted the people I networked with on the forums one by one to ask them if they would like to try out my new system for free. Some said no, but there were some who did go on to try it out, and give me feedback so I could make my service better. After changing a few things, I re-invited these marketers back, and asked them if they would help get the word out about my services. If they did so, they got to keep the free unlimited account for as long as they wished. I got 5 Marketers that were willing to help drive traffic to my site that day … just 5!
In the mean time, I put a link to my new site offering my services in my sig file at the WF and two other forums. I started to make special offers in each forum one by one which got me more notoriety and traffic, plus a couple of big marketer’s attention.
I created a special bonus fro the members who joined my new service. The bonus was that I would deliver 4 new postcard designs and a new stamp each month.
When the buyers told me they were happy, I asked for a testimonial. Then I put the testimonials on my site for social proof.
I continued forum marketing to get more clients, and the just word simply spread around. I can tell you that the rest of my business was formed from the credibility I received from this one service.
The thing is, if you offer a good service, keep giving value, and please your clients, they will keep recommending you and your other services!
And yes, this method will work for anyone who wants to start an online service, and make money!

Re: Post your ideas to make money online
I recently attended an Indie Arts Festival and noticed that every single vendor there was advertising that they also sell their wares on Esty.com. I looked into this site and its like an Ebay for arts and crafts that are handmade. If you have a business that is based on stuff you make yourself, Etsy may work for you better than Ebay. I do not sell yet on Etsy, but have purchased off of it and looked around the site. Its solid. I also feel that today's consumer is looking for quality merchandise, and handmade usually fits that bill. Please note that I am in no way, shape, or form working for Etsy or spamming. I legitimately think that depending on your product this may be a way to succeed at online sales!

Re: Post your ideas to make money online
I would like to recommend ebay and clickbank. They are trusted sites which actually pays you commission through their affiliate marketing program. I want to know is there any other site like mturk.com which allows you to earn money without any investment? Moreover, could any one tell me how one can earn money through online communities and forums?

Re: Post your ideas to make money online
Hey coolboy89,
There are several ways to make money on the internet. That is if you have a little savvy and some connections to know the right places that hire. I have found that most webmasters, forum owners, bloggers, and companies need people to write content for them of some kind.
Well to be honest with you, if you have your own blog like a WordPress or Blogger blog, you can actually do very well for yourself.
The trick is to do it in the right way where it will benefit you and the people who hire you.
What I mean by this is, there is a way to make money, and then a way to make lots of money with extra perks that get you listed well in the Search Engines so you can continue to make even more money. Does that make sense?
If not, follow my lead!
Here are 4 ways to make money using your own skills and blogs:
1) Go to Weblogs, Inc. and sign up for an account, then apply to one of their blogs that is related to what your blog is about. For instance, if your blog is about reviews for healthcare products, then find a healthcare blog and apply there. If you have an Internet Marketing review blog or Internet Marketing infomation blog, then apply for one of them. You can submit your own topic or idea there to if you would like. The choice is yours.
What happens is they end up paying you per post to each blog or idea submission. There is only one requirment, you have to have a minimum post count before you start getting paid for each blog you are posting to.
The main benefit here besides making money is backlinks to your related blog. Don’t worry, the benefits to your blog may not show up right away, but they will soon enough.
2) The second way to make money is to go to PayPerPost.com :: Get Paid for Blogging, Blog Advertising, Advertise on Blogs sign up for an account and start writing articles and reviews for their sponsors, and post them on your blog. Again, I suggest you pick products related to your blogs to get maximum benefits.
This ones great to make money with. I’ve been able to make an extra $500 per month from it and be able to post the content on my own blogs.
3) The third way of making money is to go to Blogsvertise Blog Advertising - Advertise on Blogs Ad Service – then sign up for an account once again. Advertisers pay good money to you for mentioning their website, products, and services on your blogs! So again, you keep the content on your own blogs. Just make sure you pick related material so it relates to your blog content.
4) The fourth way to make money using your blog is ReviewMe - Advertiser: Get Traffic & Buzz! - Bloggers: Earn cash blogging!. Go there now to create your account. The only thing to remember with this way is that your blog has to be accepted in their network before you can make money using it.
In this case, I built up my review blog first before I used this method. This way my blog was established and indexed in the Search Engines before I applied. That made it simple for me to get accepted to their network. You can make anywhere from $20 to $200 per post with them.

Re: Post your ideas to make money online
I think affiliate marketing and blogging are the best ways to earn good income through internet. You should be a posses good writing skills to blog. You can own a wordpress or blogger blog. You will earn a good revenue by diverting traffic to your blog and placing ads on it. Now, if you are a good blogger you will be paid for writing blogs.

Re: Post your ideas to make money online
I agree with Vazrakar that Amazon Mechanical Turk is one of the quickest ways to make money online. And you don't have to start a business to do it. Another option is online surveys, these really do work but it takes awhile to reach the level where they will mail you your earnings. Don't pay to join a survey site!

Re: Post your ideas to make money online
Well Amazon's Mechanical Turk is a good way to win a bit of money, but unless you plan to dedicate some serious time to it, you won't get as much money as you would from one of the other ways mentioned on this thread, so, instead of filling surveys and clicking images, you could write blog post and get money from ads.

Re: Post your ideas to make money online
Paid per Click sites are a bit boring and monotonous. I often fall asleep clicking ads. . I prefer to write articles. i do write on some sites but I am still not happy with the payouts. I would like to write freelance for content writing firms. A friend of mine keeps outsourcing some work to me once in a while and i get paid a cent a word a dollar for 100 words. That is pretty good. Are there sites on th internet which pay this kind of money? I doubt if there are. One can't make a living writing articles on the internet. At best one can make some pocket money I suppose.

Re: Post your ideas to make money online
Hi Wilson M.
Welcome to the forum!
Yes, it is true - people would make a lot more and easier money by putting up their own blog. The ads alone is a good way to make some money, but they could write reviews for affiliate products, and make commissions off of them as well.
Hey Mercurman3a,
If you write content (articles), you can make a heck of a lot more money per word than what you are getting. Most freelance writers are getting at least $10-$15 per 350-400 word articles. Matter of fact, you can go to someplace like freelance and get jobs every day if that's what you chose to make money from.
To me though, you work your tail off writing when you can have your own product, or sell someone elses.
Btw, I put up this post last eve:
http://marketersspaceforum.com/forum...-you-post.html
Have you read it yet?

Re: Post your ideas to make money online
Squidoo is one of my favorite ways to make money online. Or it least it used to be. I got lazy and stopped creating lenses, but the money was nice when I was active with it. You can give yourself all of the backlinks that you want, and they pay you for it.
The lenses tend to rank really well on Google, and a good lens can bring a lot of traffic to your site. Squidoo is always one of my top referral sources of traffic, and they pay me to advertise my own blog.
How could it get better than that?
And did I mention that Squidoo is free to join?

Re: Post your ideas to make money online
There are many advertisement one can see to make money online. But in my experience i have found that 90% of them are scams. I feel the most genuine ones are the following three:
1. REVIEW STREAM: write review - get paid - Here you can post reviews on various subjects and you get paid $2 for a good review.
2. Google Adsense: Yes, this takes time but if you have a good website with a good content and learn the techniques, slowly you can start making money.
3. Amazon Mechanical Turk - Welcome : A very genuine site where you join as a worker and choose the hit which you can do and get paid for each hit.
Happy earning money online

Re: Post your ideas to make money online
This has been mentioned throughout this thread a few times, but I believe if you're already an active internet user, it's very much possible to get started using Google Adsense.
It's as simple as running your own blog, which many websites include an easy to operate interface. Then, you try to incorporate useful tidbits or personal ideas that viewers will be interested in to generate traffic.
Further down the road, after you get a grip with how things work, perhaps you can expand your blog to a full fledged website that offers your own original content and partner up with similar websites like your own to exchange traffic.

I have been working on amazon's Mturk program for a while now and I really like it. I've made a total of $67.60 since January! Amazon's program is simple, easy and super fast. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to make money fast.

Re: Post your ideas to make money online
But don't you think it is so, very, time consuming to create the articles, find the right information for them, and just to generate traffic, which won't be easy, you have to go thorugh so much, including the designs of the website itself....I could acually do it if i wanted to but at the end of the day, i don't think it's very much worth it, only for thse who really put in that extra % of work in.

Yes,
I have been working on all this. A two pronged web site + ezine solicitation + branding are the best marketing tools. They complete the system.
