Just registered the domain. It has a history. Originally registered Dec. 01, 2001. Parked at GoDaddy through April 06, 2004. May 2004 through July/Aug there was an active website with a discussion board and links to sales of assorted surfing related goods (as in Hawaii, Maui, beach, etc.). Nothing significant about it. Aug 2004 the site was parked at GoDaddy until I registered it yesterday.

LOL, that is the question. Yes, a site. Not sure if I will use the original purpose of the site. Though it is very nichey. Another possibility is to create a site for moms that surf the internet that want to make money online. The domain name itself could be used for either purpose. Just not sure.

I'm not sure what I'd do. Are there a lot of niche surfing sites out there? Persaonlly I would think the surfing niche might be more fun to build and research. Probably not a ton of competition either (just guessing).

If you went with the mom's making money online, you'd be going up against a zillion others in the same niche. Lot's of competition, hard to stand out.

Either way you'd have to decide what route fits your goals best.

I agree that this would be better as a surfing (as in waves) rather than "surfing the net" kind of site. Your type in traffic and memorability is much more connected to the ocean.
