Hey gang,

Fiona did some membership cards on this thread:

I need some input about how to make them look better.

I know they need different fonts. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Not sure about the font, but I am thinking TTF checkbook (CHECKBKO).

The black on white is my preferred choice. However, the white border blends in with the white background and I would prefer the mirror image angle on the bottom of the card to be angled inward as it would be more realistic.

A barcode might be a nice addition?

I was looking at that CKBK font too, but didn't think it was readable. May have to hunt another one down that has better readability.

Yeah, I liked the black on white too and ran into the same problem.

I can have it, and the angle changed. I think Fiona is thinking of using a grey instead of white.

I may also have to have a logo made up and out it on the card to to break the print up.

I agree about the font, something that stands out a bit more would be nice. I wonder how much difference the background will have on the over look of the membership cards? The white card background against the white background doesn't do much for me personally.

The grey backgound might do the trick with that though.

Here's a quick one I did to match the colour scheme of the forum and also has the embossed card number etc.

The text font can be worked on but it's just to give an overall impression.

I like them. That font does do a lot for them. Nice color selection to.

I prefer Jeff's cards.

The only thing I noticed that stood out is the top of the cards have a greyish border. Otherwise. they match the color theme of the site nicely.

As you know, Jeff created some membership cards for the forum. Thank you Jeff!

I need to know how many members are interested in selling these cards, so please post your comments about how you want to proceed. We can go a couple of different ways with these cards, but I have another idea I think may work better, especially if the number of cards are limited.

The original idea was to sell the auction cards at $37 each, and then upsell the Ad cards (for header postition only) at $67 for both cards combined. Limit 150 buyers whether they buy into the upsell or not. Then raise the price for the next batch.

The newer idea is to let you guys sell each of the cards at $47, and let you give each buyer a bonus card ... which ever one they didn't buy, so they can give one of the cards to someone else. The giveaway card is not redeemable unless it is given away to someone who will get active on the forum. Limit is 100 cards.

Whoever wants to become an affiliate or sell the cards. they get a 50% commission.

I am putting this second idea out there simply to get more registered users into the forum, and to build up the marketplace. This promotional deal will and can help us to do that.

What do you guys think?

And which idea would you like to see implimented?

I like your new idea for the fact that it could help to get more register users in our group (like you said).

Plus I think it's a simpler sell, basically getting both cards for one price.

I vote for your second idea.
