Blogging Tips for This Holiday Season

Blogging Tips for This Holiday Season

As you know, the holidays are upon us and that means that you will probably need to take some time off, right? Roughly 97% of the world takes Christmas Day off and that is why I am pretty sure that you will too. Whether you take off the entire day or just a portion of it doesn’t matter, what matters is that you are prepared for it.

What a lot of people don’t understand is that people still use the internet around the holidays and that is why you still need to update your blog. Even if you are just writing to wish your readers a Merry Christmas, it is still important that you do something. The reason why I recommend doing this is to make sure that you are not missing out on anything. Lots of bloggers take this time off and don’t update their blog but the problem with doing this is that you can spiral downward to start out the New Year.

Holiday Blogging Tips

Promote Something

Something that I highly recommend is that you find a good deal and promote it like crazy in a post. The reason you do this is to give yourself a present of earnings when you get back from your break. I am not saying that you need to promote a product that you don’t know anything about or to people that won’t buy it, you need to promote something that you know is good and that your readers will love.

Many Posts Works

One of the things that I have seen online throughout the years is blog owners posting multiple posts throughout the holiday season. The reason they do this is not just for fun, they do it because they know that other bloggers are not doing this and therefore they have a high chance of getting noticed by social bookmarking sites and general readers.

Create A New Plan

What a lot of people do for the holiday season is work on their new year’s resolution and you should too. Now, for you this will be a little different because you need to take that resolution and create more of an in-depth plan. The reason you do this is to make sure that you get off on the right foot for the New Year. I know that you don’t want to do this but you need to in order to keep the momentum going.

If you think that this holiday season is best spent with your family, then you are right but you need to be ready for it. My advice to you would be to take some time and setup a blog post to go live a day before Christmas and New Year’s and then 1 post on each of the days. Just know that if you can continue blogging through a holiday, then you will have a leg up on your competition which is always a great thing.

Great suggestion Warren although I won’t be promoting anything this holiday season. I know, I know, I’m missing out. But I am putting together my plan of 2012 and it’s going to be a very productive year.

I won’t be sharing an annual review post like I see a lot of bloggers doing. I already share throughout the year things I’ve got going and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. I’ve been enjoying them though, I will admit.

Thanks for these great tips because they are indeed great tips.

Here is wishing you a Very Merry Christmas and an even Healthier New Year!

    God Bless,
