Are You Interviewing Experts

Are You Interviewing Experts

When it comes to blogging there is always one way to get noticed by the experts in your field. Interviews! The great thing about an interview is that you can easily send out an email with questions you want answered and hope that expert responds. This is something that some bloggers out there do and it works out great because if the article is good enough then those experts might link back to your website.

Another reason why you should interview the experts in your field is to gain more knowledge on the subject and also create a relationship with that expert. The nice thing about having a new relationship with some of the experts online is that you will be able to call on them for help, you will give you readers something they are not getting anywhere else and best of all you will have an online friend that can help you get to where you want to go. Think about it, why not build a few more relationships when they can benefit you in so many different ways.

Now, are you scared to talk with some of the experts out there? A lot of people worry about putting themselves out there and then being rejected right away. Trust me, you may get rejected sometimes but that is because experts will be busy with their own stuff as well. If you want to make sure you at least get a response back, then I highly recommend that you put in the time and effort into truly becoming friends as opposed to just making small talk (through emails) in order to get what you want.

Tips On Asking Interview Questions

Give A Reason To Participate – The first thing that I recommend doing is to give a reason to participate. Most experts will be happy to get their name out there but you can’t forget that some of them do want something out of their time. What I recommend is that you make it known that they will get a backlink from your article and you will promote that article as much as you can. If you want to get somebody to participate, then there is nothing better than sending traffic their way.

Give A Description Of The Article – If you are asked to do something wouldn’t you want to know what it is going to be? Most people will give you an interview but only if you give them the description of the article you are writing. I know a lot of people out there that will simply send out interview questions without giving the expert an idea of what it will be used for. Just know that the more you give experts, the more they will give you. If you have to you might even need to write the article first and then show it to the experts in hopes they will participate.

Ask Important Questions – Something that a lot of people do is ask questions that they can easily find online. If you are into internet marketing and you contact an expert and ask them “Tell me why you build backlinks to your website” they will probably blow you off. The reason why experts do this is because you are not putting any effort into the questions and this is all stuff you can find online. Trust me, if you ask questions that don’t get addressed that often then you will have better luck getting the interview that you really want.

One other thing that I want to make sure you know is that you don’t have to interview one person for every article you write. Let’s say you want to address niche websites, you could then interview Pat Flynn from Smartpassiveincome.com, Tyrone Shum from http://www.outsourcinglive.com and Chris Ducker from Virtualbusinesslifestyle.com. All of these guys will be able to give you something extra to put into your article and make your interview very successful.

When it comes to interviewing an expert you need to take your time and make sure the article is better than anything else out there. What I would recommend is to make this a weekly project and do all the research you need to do, write down the questions you want answered and then send out the emails. Just remember that this will take some time to get the answers back so don’t rush to finish this.
